Be more than happy if we get Adams. This interview, and thanks for uploading, reveals a lot I think about his understanding of the game, very articulate.

 

He does seem to possess a Parkinson esque sense steel and focus in his demeanour .
Doesn't seem the type to get bogged down with sentimentality or 'being on of the lads'.
Not the type to lose sleep over dropping someone who isn't performing.
Pragmatic, but not dour, gobby or petty like some 'no nonsense' managers.

Comes across well, but only time will tell....

 

Don't want Adams, he's a dinosaur and despite Morecambe being up there his football style is worse than Bore-yers. Total contradiction to Sparks wanting exciting attacking football.

A dinosaur? Are you kidding me? Multiple promotions and a cup with the hitherto non-achieving Ross County. Scotland's Manager of the Year. Got Plymouth promoted. Has got the previously rubbish Morecambe into the play offs on a tiny budget, and with one of the highest scoring stats in Lg 2. UEFA A coaching licence, has done coach training in Spain, Portugal and the USA. Do your homework, mate.

 

Just out of interest, which non dinosaur free flowing attacking style manager with a track record of success would you like?

 

If you look through past interviews with Adams, what we're seeing is a man of huge commitment. Tee total, very religious, dedicated to bettering himself as a manager at the clubs he's been at and the ones in the future.

I don't understand why you think it speaks volumes that Morecambe haven't made a comment. Why would they? There's been a bit of speculation in the media that we might be interested in Adams, that's all. They've got a play off semi final to prepare for, why on earth would they want to detract from that by commenting on paper talk - even if behind the scenes there is something in it?

 

Believe me if we hadn’t already done a deal which I believe we have they would have given a very public hands off warning in the press. We had a cup tie with Man Utd in the 80s and chairman Bob Martin went very public that Derby were trying to poach McFarland. The play off game is next Thursday so hardly would detract by publicly trying to keep their manager. In fact Morecambe fans would insist upon it. Instead despite press speculation not a word from them. Imagine if it was City who’s manager was to go elsewhere, our supporters would demand Sparks make a statement

 

Last week, we limped to the end of the season,
Within seven days, we've released nearly half the squad.
We've made an agreement with Adams that he'll join us.
MT has agreed to work under him.
Next week, the club will reveal season ticket prices, and start to sign next seasons targets.
All go at VP.

 

You just know when Morecambe fail in the play offs they are going to blame us and we will become their most hated club !!

 

Might work the other way round if the supposed 'gentlemen's agreement' is that Adams only comes to us if Morecambe don't get promoted, and then they do.
