that is a too simplistic approach. The view etc from the middle of the kop is better than from the end blocks of the other two stands. If they are going to differentiate I think it would be more complex, so differing pricing by block, or maybe even more detailed eg those at very front of main stand are cheaper than those 10 rows back due to the rain.

Full details were not given. So some clubs have a subscription system that you pay a variable price each month depending on number of games that month. Others have a 12 month direct debit where the cost of a ST is split, but is always a season in advance. Others have the direct debit running July-March for the current season, if you stop you ticket is frozen. So many options available that different clubs do. Obviously the bonus of the direct debit is you don’t renew, it auto renews unless you cancel it so they work on the same thing that gyms and tv companies work on that people don’t bother cancelling they just stop using it

I believe it would be the wrong move to increase ticket prices for the 2021/22 season after what we have been through both on the pitch which was poor but also the lockdown and Covid situation.
Do the business next season get us promoted and i'ts a different ball game, thats the time to think of increasing ticket prices.

Spot on. Always want to avoid adding onto regular DD/SO. You should also include Mortgage/Rent; Mobile Phone, Broadband+Phone+TV, Council Tax, Water Rates, House/Contents Insurance all of which take a huge chunk of most people’s disposable income, some will also have debt and be paying off credit cards and loans!

The only tickets I'm thinking of buying right now are one way tickets out of Valley Parade for Wendy, Peter Pan and Tinkerbell.

It was Rhodes opinion and one that was good to start with but now outdated.

    The beer is rubbish
    The food is rubbish
    The toilets are crap
    The team is rubbish.
The off the field pitch improvement is rubbish.

The cheap tickets are now getting us nowhere and the exceptions even at £150 are no being matched.

Time for an increase in my mind.

I'm not anti price increases but I don't think next season is the right time, and I'd be more surprised if Ryan and Stefan disagree,

City have got to announce the season ticket price by the weekend as you will have only 3 paydays before new season starts
2 if you have cut of date in early July
If I was in sparks shoes thank god I am not I would increase this seasons by £25 to £50 and give those who buy the first chance to buy next seasons at same price before a slight increase again to take a full price adult up to £250
If the football is to this seasons standard they may not sell many at all ?

why does it matter when they announce? Everyone knows if they are going they need to pay so should be ready to be hit with at least £150.

if the price rise is big, eg to £250 I get your point but less than that maybe not so much

Yes the club will make the call, cheap season tickets have been a great success from 2007 I don't think anyone could call the club out for raising them if they do, I just think the 2021/22 season would be the wrong time to increase them for reasons I've given above.

My gym has double its membership fee.

Next season is the perfect time to increase prices. Everything else is going up and you will find next season that some fans will attend at the start but then get go back to not attending because now they are use to missing games. The club has to protect itself. It's not Liverpool or Utd.

We need to have it at a price point now for fans to think I am going to attend because I don't want to lose money etc.

I disagree, if everything else is going up that IMO that is even more reason to not increase them this coming season.

You gym membership has doubled so what a successful businessman like yourself should be writing that off.

It's the most normal thing in sports stadiums that seats at the sides of the pitch are priced higher than seats behind the goal, is it simplistic - yes but that's much easier than going into individual blocks and pricing it that way.

Pricing at VP was always like that until the flat price cheap deal started.
