You can't say wellens failed at Salford and at Oldham it was only Rochdale pulling off a miracle act that sent them down, despite having a crack head owner.

 

Funny enough if Sparks gets rid of T & S soon(Next few weeks or so) then I am will to give the new manager the season.

The best part of match days, when McCall was here, was the post match interviews, with Jamie Raynor. Jamie used to put him on the spot and get under his skin. Ryan has one of two choices to make, he either stays with T&S as he thinks like yourself they can take us up, because that has to be the goal for next season, or he goes for a more experienced manager yes possibly someone out of work as most managers are at sometime in their careers, or maybe pay compo but I doubt that.

Is that getting players in to take the next step like bringing Danny Rowe in and telling him he's very much a part of their plans going forward but doesn't even give him 10 minutes against Tranmere when were losing 1 - 0 at home, very convincing Mark.

 

We can't afford him unless he walks out on Morecambe
We probably have McCall &Blacks contract to pay off and they just signed a 1 year extension
Then sack Trueman & Sellers they have another 15 months left on there contract
Then we would have to pay Morecambe compensation for Adams
Unless we have a mystery benefactor Adams is out of our reach

 

Could we hope if we were going to change the man in charge and we went for Adams he's on a 12 month rolling contract, when Morecombe don't get promoted .

 

The point I am making they had to tighten up to get up the table they have said when the right players are brought in we can be more expansive. We went 442 at Harrogate and lost after being stretched in the last few minutes

 

So you expect a new manager (but have no idea who) to come in and rebuild the squad from top to bottom in a season? With what (or whom)? We're not going to attract players from the Premiership are we? Or the Championship? Or League 1 (if they're at a League 1 club they'll only come to City if they are no longer required. Why are they no longer required?) So you're looking to recruit also rans from League 2. Great way to build the 'identity' you're always banging on about! Bring in a midfielder from Stevenage, and a full back from Oldham. A couple of wingers from Scunthorpe. And that will inescapably make us Promotion contenders? In a season?
I have to say I'm more and more of the opinion that some of our players stop turning up for us cos they read (or can't avoid) the utterly negative dross that is posted on here by so-called supporters. Last night showed me they're either unwilling to change or have no idea how to. Haven't scored in three home games, score 0-0 in a dead rubber and they bottle it by swapping our top scorer for our second top scorer to see it out for a point. And then we still lose anyway. If they won't show some ambition and guts now then they never will.

 

There is a huge difference in being stretched and losing whilst going for while win, and sticking 10 behind the ball to get a draw at home. The former is acceptable and will bring as many wins as losses. The latter, at home in a meaningless match, is unforgivable

 

Trust me if we are losing matches by being stretched patience won’t last long

Which managers play a similar manner to Trueman and Sellars without overhauling the entire squad, tactics, formation and ethos?

Richie Wellens plays 4-2-3-1. He's a good shout. He won the league with Swindon, then did a middling job at a club like Salford where there are just too many cooks.
