Their inexperience is shining through at the moment. They’re rabbits in the headlights and are struggling to stop the rot. It’ll be a gamble to allow them another window because we aren’t seeing how they’ll get the attacking side right. It’s certainly going to be a big decision Sparks has to make. Start slowly and the knives will be out even more than they are now. They’ve done well and don’t deserve dogs abuse. They’re young, they’ve tried but it isn’t working anymore.

 

I try and have a balanced opinion but that performance tonight was another dire display Tranmere looked average at best, but to then try and tell fans who watch the game we dominated it and created chances was taking the mick, also a very poor reply to why we did not bring Rowe on trying to cover it by saying Cook was doing well (I believe you mentioned the old pro Clarke had the better of the duels) and he said he brought another striker on in Donaldson (91 minutes) was a pathetic reply.
Sorry mate for me Ryan has to make a big call, he still believes in his judgement when originally giving them the job and extending their contracts, yes to be fair they got us into a position most would never dare say was a possibility, but were unable to kick on, or he believes they are not capable of taking Bradford City up next season because that has to be the goal (even with another transfer window) and relieves them of their position and they return to their previous posts, big call both for the club and Ryan's reputation, of he gets this wrong all the talk counts for nothing.

 

It was even worse second time round.

 

There's merit in consistency. What makes this call harder is that T&S are a completely unknown entity. If the results they've had were under a more proven manager, there'd be more latitude for saying 'we need to be patient'. But we just don't know with these guys. They're still rookies, they had a good spell of results without the performances being convincing and over recent weeks, there's increasing evidence to show their limitations. We can't waste another season. We have to get the big calls right this summer.

 

As I said during the game I thought we played quite well first half and we were very unlucky to go in losing. They sat in second half and whilst I agree they are no great shakes but they have a good defence and in my opinion even at his age their isn’t a better centre back in the league than Peter Clarke This is not to say we dominated or played well. But they were given the task when appointed of saving us from the national league with one window then with the right players in the summer pushing on to promotion. They deserve the chance to do that. Rather than taking another failure from another club

 

Zero shots on target against a bang average Tranny team tonight.

 

A better centre half in league 2 lol. they hadn't won in 7 games Park. funnily enough just like Crawley and Harrogate. We did not play well tonight infact the only time we've played well in a dozen game in Forset Green. This season over now, yet another complete failure where we might get lucky and finish top half. Whoever the manager is next season no excuses. This club has to get promotion.

 

Peter Clarke is a good player at this level and dominated Cook.

 

Cook was up against two centre backs due to our piss poor tactics, what was he supposed to do. If Peter Clarke is the best in the division then we might as well pack up now.

 

Cook was up against two bruisers in Clarke and Monthe, he never stood a chance. He worked his bollocks off as usual but was hung out to dry by the managers tactics.

 

Remember the Grimsby game? When people were happy to play poorly and pick up three points? Well in the real world the last three games have shown what really happens when you play poorly 3 games 0 points. there endeth the lesson to all with heads in the sand.

 

Agree Tranmere were fortunate with regards them going in ahead at half time, but lets put this into context they hd no reason to risk going for another to kill the game they knew our limitations and by the time T&S tried to change things with subs the game was won.
We've continued to play it out from the back they gave us time to knock it around our back 4 but when we tried to go forward Tranmere pushed up 10 yards and we were lost no one coming deep to take control of the situation why would Tranmere commit themselves.
I get you comment with regards T&S saving our bacon and fair do's to them but having done that they showed little with regards kicking on, as I said Ryan has a big call to make stick or twist, get it wrong and any street cred he built up recently goes down the plug hole, results based game, I quoted after the Grimsby game I'd take 3 points and a dire display for the remaining 7 games boy have they delivered the dire displays unfortunately not the points.

I hate being right but i usually am. Those three defeats have been coming, the Grimsby game showed how deficient this team is. Massive rebuilding programme in the summer, watch Rowe go elsewhere and start scoring. Just like Doyle. And Vaughan. Its what we do. Probably Cook as well if Mansfield take up the offer they have on him.

 

Its ok saying Sparks has a big decision to make
If he sacks T&S who does he replace them with the failures that applied for the job in December
T&S have achieved there first objective to keep us in this division
Now let's see who they recruit in the close season and get rid of those who are past there best and they are their own players not McCalls mates
