It's entirely up to us now, we control our own destiny. We can't blame anybody but ourselves if we don't make the playoffs.

Looking at the fixtures, we have a mixed bag of fixtures. Of the most favourable, Exeter with goals aplenty, have Southend, Grimsby and Barrow to play twice.
With, in effect, them having 3 points more than us, I cannot see us finishing above them.

We may not finish above Exeter but if you look at the remaining fixtures for all the teams above us it becomes clearer. We do need to win our games but the teams above us can't all win as they are playing each other.

I can’t see us getting maximum points in that run against Tranmere, an in form Port Vale & Salford, so next two games are absolutely vital if we’re going to make the top 7.
6 points from the next two, 5 from the following 3 would set us up with a very winnable Scunthorpe at home followed by possibly a winner takes all at Morecambe. Bring on Tuesday night!!

I agree, I think that run of three games will be make or break. Who’d have thought that in early December, by the way.

If you win your next mate then yes I will mate.

Wes Hoolahan is some player at this level. Great signing.

To have a Wes Hoolahan or a Jon Stead at this level is gold dust. Old pros who still have every trick in the book. And I would add to that Clayton Donaldson over the past seven or eight games for us. Who knew he also had a long throw?!

Wes was a bit of an odd one for us. Because of his Norwich playing days he lives about 40 miles from Cambridge. In the summer of 2019 he spent the close season training with us so there was lots of speculation he'd be signing for us. He then signed for the Newcastle Jets in Oz so lots of fans gave up on him. He trained again with us last summer and this time signed. And he's been an absolute revelation, lifting everyone's game. So if you've got some old pros living locally where pace has never quite been their thing but they are technically gifted and just love playing football....they need to be contacted!!

He's always been a much admired player - and he's really been doing it for you this season. I don't care about the age on the clock - are they still fit for the fight and totally up for it? Darren Stevens just got another 50 for Kent tuther day and some wickets - and he's 45 going on about 30.

Ah, Podd the God! What a player he was - easily in our Top Five Hall of Fame Ever. Happily for him, he appears to be doing a really fulfilling job down in the Caribbean doing coaching, managing and football development work. Lucky them to have Ces Podd at the helm. Along with Bobby Campbell, my favorite City players ever.
