Evening all,

I've been producing video reports/previews/predictions for a couple of online channels recently, and have decided to set up 'Bantams News' pages so that City fans can get to our content without sifting through 91 other clubs..! The link below leads you to our Facebook video preview for tonight, and we're also on Instagram as @officialbantamsnews for anyone interested.

I've gone for 0-0 this evening... almost all optimism of making this season's playoffs has been knocked out of me, but I must remember we thought we could be relegated back in December!

Not as a brand or as a facebook page, no. Unfortunately on instagram, all names similar to bantamsnews were already taken by dead accounts. If the club ask, I guess it can be changed to unofficial, but I didn't think anyone would have a huge problem with that and they're already aware of the reports, having supplied footage for them.

Don't you worry Kevin, I've been following since back in the C+B days so I've got a fairly good background on the big names here!

Here's the latest preview for anyone interested - I've gone for a 1-0 City win after Thursday night's fan forum. Can't help but be impressed with Sparks who seems to both talk the talk and be getting things done. Can't see him helping us with scoring today, but Colchester haven't been great at that either recently...

 

Oh dear, that didn't last long did it Fordy..!

1) The logo and brand name would look stupid on the left or right, and due to the lockdown where I live I'm having to film all these in front of a makeshift green screen in a relatively small apartment. The brand name is also plastered all over the channels so I don't think people are likely to miss it. I'll remove it from the background entirely for next time if it's distracting you!
2) I'm producing these for a channel who often give me the duration they want. We decided this was to be a shorter one. What is there to assess from Scunny that's different from Oldham or Carlisle? We were dire in very similar ways in all three matches and I don't want to repeat myself.
3) I say they are not good, you've given your opinion that we aren't either. I believe we're a bit better than them, hence going for 1-0.
4) Covered by point 2.

I was hugely critical of Sparks' appointment when he came in, but have been impressed both by his interviews and what he actually seems to be getting done in recent months. I know you're not a fan of his but there's no need to get upset because others give him praise.

I've worked in sports media for 5 years including for UEFA and on fairly large global productions so as much as I appreciate the advice, I'd like to know what your background is before I decide to take your post pretty patronisingly.

How's that for 'being me and telling it how it really is'?

I'm perfectly relaxed, don't you worry! Just thought I'd take your last piece of advice immediately. My impression of Sparks isn't only based on the fans forum, which I agree could've been more challenging question-wise... but was it ever likely to be with BBC radio?

As I said, I'll have the next one at a 3 min duration so we can cover the points you mention; formation particularly is something I'm keen to address! Just as an aside - these are put out as previews, so a review of the previous game would be a separate piece. We may start doing those for certain games, but it seems a slightly unfair criticism of something clearly labelled as a preview.

 

This isn't computing is it - I was asked to do a preview, I've done a preview. You've now written me a script for a review. Fantastic! If that's my intro, it's not going to fit into 1:45, which this one was meant to as it wasn't a huge fixure. The next one will be longer, just for you. Thanks for all your help!

I think anyone who has read for a while can see you've thrown your toys out the pram because I said something positive about Sparks, so you win the coveted title of first on my 'ignore' list!
