I feel Playoffs now realistic, autos are not, it would still be a truly fantastic turnaround

 

Well we played three teams today. They lined up as a 4-4-2 before matching us and then going to a 3-5-2 for the second half. That gave Walsall more of an offensive edge and we alllowed them to dictate the pace of the game for the first 20 minutes of the second half.
The last 15 minutes we were a bit nervy. Again we allowed them to dictate the flow and pace of the game. Too many times we tried long passes out to Rowe who looked a bit isolated on the half way line. That allowed them to bring the ball straight back into our final third.
I thought the Don was an good sub choice. He used his experience to slow the game down. No fancy passes or long balls. He simply got it; stopped and played the simple pass and then got it again and looked to do the same.
I don't think Rowe is suited to the loan striker role. He likes to come deep where he has the space to make forward runs and get off shots. If Cooke is injured then I think he could replace him but who'd play up front....?

I would say the service to either was poor as well after Cooke went off. Rowe is not a lone striker. Clarke had a few long balls to chase-again not his game. Neither really got into the game. At least Clarke tried to tackle back whereas Rowe just simply gave up when he lost the ball.

 

I explained before Bradford City FC seem to have taken a liking to failure. We fail its someone else's fault. We can't do this because he cost x amount. It will take x amount of years to do this that and the other.

I'm not into excuses! I am into winning. Finding a way! Bradford City don't find a way but on the pitch now it seems we are on a wave which is great but lets see.

We are not the play off places yet and until then I won't get excited.

That’s exactly it was all hands to the+pump when they came on there was no where to lay it off for Rowe and Clarke was chasing shadows. Rowe looks laid back just as he did in his first two games.. he is not a target man like Cook he likes to find a bit of space to get shots off. He will come good again

 

It's lost on some that out of the subs Donaldson contributed the most.

 

Clarke wouldn't have had to chase shadows if he'd actually taken the ball in now and again though.

His mis control on the half way line when we had an overload on the break was criminal. It wasn't the only time the ball didn't stick either.

 

In 10 years when asked what I did in Covid times. I can answer became a master of watching midget porn.

 

I have a feeling he might start Donaldson on tuesday
