Well done on your win tonight....why are so many being negative on here? Anyway we've decided to make the league promotion and play off places interesting by losing at home to Cheltenham tonight. To be fair they're a fine team and so that puts your win on Sat into context...so on we go...

Good balanced posts from @stubgate13@stubgate13, @Asafa@Asafa and @Bantamshell@Bantamshell.

The part Orient played in this game cannot be overlooked. They were organised, good shape, pressed and squeezed the space down the insides. Little, offensively but that's also credit to us.
    A great win under T&S.

Typical tough league 2 game I thought, LO a team that kept their shape well and left little room between the lines, a testament to how things have turned since Christmas that teams will start to do that now.

I don't want to get in front of myself but I'm really warming to this group, much like I did to PP teams. Long may it continje

Just had a snigger back to myself from tonight..... Cooke v Cisse.....

Ah, fair play to Cooke for squaring up but I get the feeling, he knew his limits.

I know that was so funny, but pretty much sums up how he's being playing recently, with no fear!

Anyone know if Matty Foulds is still alive. Not heard anything from him since he arrived.

I don't see Pritchard being kept on if I'm honest.

Fair play to Watt though, even if not at his best, he never hides and always available to receive the ball. Still young and learning and will improve even more in my opinion

That's about the single most stupid post I've read since, er, your last one.

    Made me smile though. Cheers.

The only frustrating thing is that he's almost a member of the back 5 at times in games. I know he's keen to get on the ball but him dropping so deep seems to drag the rest of the midfield deeper and makes it easier for the opposition to press higher.

I like it when he's taking the ball higher up and in tighter areas where he's dragging people in and making the spaces for others to run off him. Sutton especially looks more dynamic and a threat in those situations.

That's not a criticism though, I'm probably just being unrealistic as he's set the bar so high for himself (as they all have) recently.

Anyone seen the post match interview with Embleton? Remarkably similar to the ones with Stuart just before he got sacked.

In my humble opinion Cambridge are not that good ( pause for laughs) If you stop Mullin and Hoolahan you stop the team. We did it twice and nilled them and were it not for the rarity of Evans shot hitting both posts AND staying out we would have taken all 6 points.
Yes they will be there or thereabouts but for me not good enough for autos.

We've just played Johnson at Orient, May at Cheltenham, and Mendes Gomes at Morecambe, and largely stopped all three. They're top forwards, and the stats show it.

I think a few teams are reliant on specific strikers. Vaughan had no joy out if us either.

Our defence seems to be getting the better of these strikers in a regular basis. But other defences aren't; so if Cambridge pick up the points elsewhere, it doesn't matter how average those teams looked against us :)

    He's not a number 9.
He's a 10 who needs freedom to drop deep and come out wide etc.
Cook is a number 9 who grafts and battles. He thrives on that.
Novak is a in the box striker with great movement.
Watch a lot of Rowes goals, left side or right between the cb and the fb, runs in the channels, long shots from dropping deep.
We rely on the 3 behind the striker, Evans, Cooke and Vernam to dictate.
They only get this opportunity from a bustling number 9.
Rowe is strong but as he showed by missing that 1 on 1 hes not a through the middle striker.

Great win and lots of new highlight elements to the performance. I thought it was Sutton who got us going early in the second half putting himself about
and running with the ball. After he was rightly booked he channelled his effort into running with the ball and committing his direct opponent.
That gave those around him the chance to create space in a very congested central midfield.
Am not a fan of AOC because he always seemed to look to divert attention away from himself but in this run he has shown how good a player and defender he is. On we go and cant wait to get back inside VP.
