Three months ago we hadn't a prayer of getting to 40 points. Now we are on target to get 80 on current form. Absolutely stunning.

 

Not sure. He was caught out a couple of times because Brophy pushed on and he'd stopped, didn't go with him and he's pretty slow off the mark. It didn't cost us and he also managed to recover a couple of times but there was way more danger coming down our right than the left.

 

Not tonight mate, without Cookes performance we simply don't win. He's now our most influential player, he doesn't play and I'd say we probably don't win.

 

Think AOC has found his best position, He has been outstanding at full back, He fits in so well with Paudie and Canavan

 

Canavan and AOC for me. Cooke had a good game though, certainly the best of any of our midfield or attacking players.

Woods distribution and headed clearances tonight were really poor. Brophy did not get a shot off tonight in anger or had any crosses that caused real danger. Unsure why you thought AOC was a weak link tonight.

Maybe it was because they didn’t give us time on the ball but let’s face it, if we had come away with a point tonight everyone would be saying we ground out a draw.

 

Nah, Paudie was top quality when he first came, didn't have the best season last year but wasn't given full rein.

This season, fully established in a back four rather than a loose part of a back three under Stu McCall, he's back to the player we thought we'd signed.

Paudie, at 23, is one of the best CB's in recent years and at a good age.

Next time we have a slump, I'd expect Paudie to be the captain and lifting the other players. I dare anyone to try telling me AOC could do the same.

Good win and a really important one because we were off it for the most part. Different sort of challenge against a team who parked the bus and I'm sure T&S know what we've got to work on now to better break down these sort of teams.

POC and Canavan terrific again and Crankshaw was a game changer when he came on. Probably done enough to warrant a start on Saturday and I'd like to see Vernam on the left because I'm not convinced he looks comfortable on the right.

Didn't say he was the weak link but in the second half there were 2 or 3 times when Brophy went on, came back and passed to team mate with a sort of give and go, O'Connor stopped and Brophy went on and O'Connor wasn't quick enough to get back to him. Didn't come to anything but he was caught out a couple of times.

 

Really? He was on his pants in the first half. He did ok.

It was one of them games that had no stand out player for us. One of the subs MOM.

 

Callum Cooke was man of match tonight in my opinion. Ollie was great when he came on too.

Reading this thread you'd think 4 or 5 players had stormers.

Nobody really did brilliantly well, Cooke was tidy, AOC did all right when he wasn't getting Brophy'd, Canavan and POC did their job well but really weren't asked to do so much...

I could live with Crankshaw as MOTM even though he wasn't on for that long, as he came on and accomplished the job Vernam started.

No Crankshaw, no three points.
