Thanks for the info I’ve not had time to actually read the article due to work and thought it would just be about them two.

That’s why it was important not to rush into giving them a contract like some wanted, there were other important areas of the business that it also effects and contrary to what some said they were never going elsewhere although the Barrow comments yesterday made me chuckle so fair play for that in these times.

I like the promote from within culture we are creating as long as they have the talent, Brentford do it to great effect. We should be looking at developing talented coaches as well as players.

 

Wilsden I agree with the statement( looking at developing talented coaches as well as players. ) but they are only getting the gig due to the massive upturn in wins, attitude, form and tactics and fantastic transfer window. Once we are stable we can develop and nurture talent but up until two months ago we were sinking faster than the Titanics cat and salt cellars...…. I am very happy with the outcome.

 

Has there been any news on who has taken over from their youth team roles?

Good news, slightly overdue in my mind, but we got there in the end.

I echo what one or two have said about patience; there will be rocky periods, but we've already seen T&S have tactics that work, so when the wheels fall off let's give them time to put things back together.

Let's not go overboard with promoting from within or insisting every crucial staff member at the club has to be 30 years old with zero experience. We need an identity, but not that. It's working this time, on merit.

I think football fans are superstitious and look for patterns, but what's happening right now is unlikely rather than expected.

 

Correct decision if the last 11 matches have been a job interview of sorts then they have more than exceeded expectations.

These guys, Sparks, Turnbull and a few more I'm sure have managed to turn around a sinking negative ship quickly and get us all moving in a positive direction again. Something that several seasoned managers have failed to achieve.

There maybe good reasons just to make the contract until the end of the season, but do some on here still think it is because another manager is on a promise and coming-in in the summer?

 

Didn't the Coventry team that beat Spurs in the FA Cup final back in the 80s also have joint managers?

 

Think it is going to be an appointment from within (keeps the progression going) but not had chance to visit club site yet today. Suffice to say the appointments of T&S are fantastic news and so very warranted, good luck lads

 

Just spoke with a scout, all he said was T&S have made a very positive impression in the football world and expect Turnbull to be very busy in the coming weeks with phone calls/texts as agents are also well aware of the turn around. Positive times
