The long throw from Tozer is better than corners he does it both sides and they get a lot of players on the end of them you can see how they get results. Apparently one on their players who scores a lot from them Boyle is injured. Alfie May is a vey good player other than that they didn’t offer a lot

 

They are a team reliant on the long ball and set pieces. Forget their injuries, we'd have still bossed that game. Seems you were right about Cooke, I'll admit when i'm wrong.

 

I absolutely applaud the fact that there are younger managers like Truman, Sellars and Bonner coming into the game at this level. League 2 has been a dinosaur league for far too long - a lot of older managers on their way down in their careers, not enough fresh blood being given the opportunities. The Cowleys were a breath of fresh air - lets hope T&S for us and Mark Bonner for you continue to push the cause for new ideas and new thinking. Be great to see you in Lg 1 next season!

 

Agree about Alfie May. Not many clubs in L1 or 2 wouldn't want him.

 

When Stuart left, I hoped we would go for Chris Beach rather than one of the dinosaurs. Looks like we have uncovered a couple of our own new kids on the block.

 

So pleased Cooke is coming good and having a really impact - mentioned back in the summer was happy he was coming back as 'our' player (rather than loanee) and remember another poster who was very pro Dylan Connelly and said getting him back should be the priority. Think it has worked out pretty well

 

Just shows what a big part confidence plays. The lads who were here before the window looked beaten from the kick off, since Trueman and Sellars took over they are playing with their chest out and that swagger. Due to that I did something I never normally do, I stuck my neck out and said to my son-in-law "we'll win this one".

Errr.....that might have been me. I agree Cooke has got better and better and bossed the last few games. But he did nothing of any note when he was here on loan. Connelly had a much bigger impact on games. Oh ffs you got me started again@

 

Totally agree with you about the way things have worked out but I would have liked to see us sign Dylan Connelly as well. Still quite inexperienced in the English game but just imagine the improvement Trueman and Sellars would have got out of him.

That is a fair point citygent, one thing I do like about T&S is they obviously have made decisions about certain players who were at our club who they felt they could NOT get a raise out of, but I agree they may have helped DC become a more 'focused' player

Funnily enough, on couple of zoom ins on Tozer before his throw-ins, spotted Clayton D near the respective bucket looking very "relieved," readjusting his trackys with a cheeky grin on his face.

 

Actually anyone on here who's liked my posts I'll buy you a pint in a pub of your choosing before the Bradford-Cambridge game next season. No need to describe myself. I'm from Cambridge so will be the guy in the Panama hat, wearing a suit from a film set of 'Our Man in Havana' and lisping through the real ale selection in one of Bradford's fine inns....now Park Bantam...how's that for buying likes!!
