A Cheltenham fan friend of mine was full of fouls that Town were cheated over, bad ref decisions but had to begrudgingly admit we deserved the win. An interesting point he made was that any League 2 side would love to have the opportunity of actually having Danny Rowe to come on as a sub, and not starting.

That is a Heck of a result they have some very good players in that team for this level. To not even really give them a sniff is a big statement of intent there won't be a team in the league that's looking forward to playing us at the minute. Whatever Trueman and Sellars are doing with Cooke it's working a treat the lads really starting to look a different class. I forget he's only 23 if he carries on improving like he has done there will be teams a level or two above having a look at him. Delighted for Cook to get on the score sheet too alot of noise about Rowe (rightly so) but Cooks gone out there today and shown us what he's made of too. Difficult selection choice up top for Tuesday which can't come quick enough for me.

Put players in their best positions and hey, they tend to do better! Really glad for Cooke. He's a player who seems to me a man who needs an arm around the shoulder and a reminder to do what he does best. Again, the joy of T&S. They're not putting square pegs into round holes.

Cracking performance and result. Pleased to see big Cook get off the mark. Little Cooke had a great game and even the Cheltenham commentators were singing his praises. Glad to see we shut them out.

Was frustrated Rowe didn't start but how strong is that bench?

Today was a massive game and as Trueman and Sellars said, it would tell us how fare we've come.

Flipping great result, no real negatives other than we should have scored more. Delighted for Cook to open his account. With some decent players returning from injury this squad is only going to get stronger.

Had previously felt right back was a weakness and was willing Hosannah to get back. But with AOC being so commanding in this position can't see him moving from there so long as he's fit.

Centre midfield is the area we might have enforced changes on the horizon as Sutton and Watt are picking up some bookings. I really have such confidence in our managers though. I trust them to make the right decisions.

Absolutely agree! And you hit a really important point. On pretty godawful pitches and in crap weather conditions, we've still managed to tough out some big results. That says a lot about what a committed side T and S have made us become. For all those on here who slagged off Ryan Sparks for appointing the 'cheapo option' of two youth team managers, what do you reckon now?

 

That's a very good point. No only will our short passing game be slicker, but also our speedsters on the ball like Vernam and Crankshaw will be even more dangerous.
