The ground. The ground. It's all about the ground. Until we own VP again, it'll be hard, as it always has been since we took on the massive annual rental, to attract committed new investors. Otherwise, what assets are you actually buying?

    Not true but carry on!

Look, Ryan knows the club has failed over recent years and more or less said so on that Podcast. Do yourself a favour and wake up!

Methinks Sparks realism came over massively in that interview. Think McDonagh was a little surprised at how resolute he is in his opinions. No 'yes man' here. Still early days of course, but Sparks continues to come over as a driven, ambitious professional. A marked change from some of our previous happy amateurs. Exactly what we need - clear-eyed realism.

Without on the field succes this club cannot move forward off the pitch, the two go hand in hand. Success on the field determines you have good players which in turn wil attract interest of other cubs interested in your players. This success has a knock on effect in terms of numbers of fans coming through the gate which in turn increases revenues elsewhere. As Sparks alluded to, what they have done is exactly what i proposed they would do if reading the situation properly, that we were in a position to speculate money in what was a flatlining football economy. This in turn gets you bargains that weren't there before as clubs are desperate for any sort of cash to keep afloat. But that takes a bit of balls in a time where everyone is looking to keep hold of every penny.
But then what i've just said, to me, isn't rocket science. Its what i'd expect a young ambitous CEO to do, and fair play the lad has.

I think you'll find McDonagh is an Irish Kebab outlet on O'Connell Street in Dublin.

Can't remember that one even tho' we've stayed on O'Connell St a couple of times. Did you ever try Gallaghers Boxty House? I know it's off topic but the food and the Murphy's were superb.

Yes, been to Gallaghers. Mc Donaghs is on the right at the bottom end just before the bridge. Lovely Donners too.

For such a successful businessman you spend an awful lot of time poncing about on here, which makes you unique amongst all the wealthy and successful people I know who work long hours and don’t spend their days pissing around on social media.

What are these mystical off the pitch parameters you refer to that measure success?

Had the opportunity to listen to the podcast tonight.

In the words of Ryan, my thinking towards him is 'heading north'. I'm buying into his thinking.

Thats just a good business head surley? A way forward for the club, he hasn't showed that in paying for rowe and canavan tho? Ryan is an intelligent man, he's had money from ifollow as he has said and spent it well, he will have had some other budget left obviously, but he's saved us fortunes, bought players and paid them inline with the salary cap and now there is no salary cap! Master stroke that! And yes we have gone for other players and they ain't bought in to us! So there history, one thing iv noticed about Ryan is he speaks his mind and sticks to it, well after the contract thing with mcall but can see what he was thinking with that, and when he realised he acted! Dare I say it? Where kinda in the Edin mould where yes we sign players to make a profit on, but also we will sign players like rowe and canavan where edin wouldn't have

We can’t have it both ways. We can’t demand an ambitious and forward thinking person to run our club and expect Bradford City to be the limit of their own personal ambitions. I’d sincerely hope that in 3-4 years, Sparks is being poached by a truly big club. Because that will only happen if he’s delivered success here. We have to create a positive cycle of people moving on to be replaced by the next generation of player/coach/executive who have similar ambitions to drive their own careers through this club.

All you can ask of any CEO in any business, is that they leave their business in better shape than when they found it.

Do I really spend that much time on here? Really?

You not got a mobile phone?

I have 4 laptops on. It’s very easy to be on the internet for me and make money.

    We are not in 1960.

I work long hours but either way I am not fussed what anyone thinks really.
