I mentioned that regualrly in whatsapp conversations before games. One look at the team sheet and formation and you knew the poor sods had no idea what they were supposed to do before they'd even stepped on the pitch.

Where does everyone think we would be in the table if McCall was still here? My guess is 21 points, so the relegation zone but with two games in hand on Southend and Grimsby. I think we would have just about survived at the end of the season, but I wouldn't bet on it.

I wonder if he was reluctant to implement new things into training/prematch warm ups etc, I've heard AK make comments with regards pre match warm ups before the kick off and on entering the pitch after the half time break many times.

I thought the injury situation didnt help him and T&S have certainly benefited from the better players coming back but it wasnt solely down to injured players, shame Simon has to get print inches with this article the vast majority wanted Stuart to succeed as manager to follow on from his player legacy but it wasnt to be.

The problem is Bradford City and Rhodes didn't have a plan. Rhodes was a poor CEO.

Nothing wrong with McCall coming back but what should have been clear is that like Rhodes himself he is just coming back to help out and see how it all goes. In the time we will be building something, creating an identity and hiring people to help you that will be at the club a long time. This might have smoothed things over and manage expectations but no. No, McCall won't have any honorary role at the club I don't think. He seems bitter about the sacking.

Sparks sacking McCall was the right decision. Sparks not giving T & S the job full time at this moment is the right decision but McCall didn't help himself. Some of the team line ups and tactics were just silly. It's a shame really.

The transformation when T&S took over was so stark that there had to have been more to it than just injuries. Some players never made the match day squad again, the team had a clear set of instructions or at least looked like they did and there were no square pegs in round holes. That’s the basics, and it’s why I think despite the improvements it’s too early to be congratulating Sparks as if he has saved City. We’re 8 points off the drop, albeit with games in hand.

The fact that McCall thought Mottley Henry was good enough to play in the side says it all,

I think he's pretty stubborn and once he's made his mind up, that's it, so yes, I think you're right that he was reluctant to change how things were done regarding training etc.

As for Parker, it's his job to fill column inches and I'm sure he didn't have to hold a gun to Stuart's head to get him to talk. He could have just politely declined the interview; I'll always love the man but this is another mistake that is entirely of his own doing I'm afraid.

He was taken us down no doubt about it, we were absolutely hopeless, void of any fight and strategy. Delusional isn’t the word for him. Stick to the punditry and story telling because that’s what you’re good at Stuart.

    One of the best Broncs.

I think sometimes you should steer away from your hometown club and make points from afar. Whatever happens Stuey M its the best for all including your health and you will always get work.

    A nice man.

    IMO
Do I think he was a little unlucky with injuries? Yes
Do I think we would've improved had he stayed and avoided the drop? Yes - I think we would've finished about 18th.

However, Stuart is failing to recognise that that is still unacceptable. We should've been aiming for the playoffs, top half absolutely minimum. The fact that we were in the relegation zone after a third of the season is absolutely a sackable offense. He may have turned us around somewhat, but I do not believe he would've done anywhere near as well as T+S are

Ive heard his training methods were exactly the same as in 2016. Nothing had changed....same jokes told on to the training pitch too. Never once lost his rag. 1 or 2 players spoke to him like sh*t too.

Questions whether 2016 was down to him or the players. That core group Parkinson had simply carried on the good work......he also got lucky with Wyke replacing Hanson. Cheers Edin, at least you get that one right.

I don't think some of players we signed in January would have come if McCall had still been manager

Not heard anything about the players speaking to him like shit, as a person he was well respected and liked. The training methods were questioned though as were tactical decisions. Could and should have lost his rag a couple of times but its just not in his nature which unfortunately is needed when the going gets tough.

He wasn't unlucky with injuries in my opinion. It was the lack of preparation, warm ups, intensity in training. Funny how we've only had 1 muscle injury since he left. There's a common theme with Stuart , it's always someone else's fault. We may have scraped survival but the fundamental flaw in all his sides is defence and a lack of cutting edge. His play is based around possession but always in the middle third.

Unfortunately he's losing a lot of respect with his denials. He could learn a thing or two from Gary Jones about class.

Do feel for the man and was originally saying he should have been given more time but i was proven wrong with the T&S appointment. Having such an incredible turnaround cannot be ignored.
It does seem like trying to be pally with everyone and his dogmatic approach regarding a back 3 was his downfall

That being said i wish him the best no matter what he does.
