Good news. Though it does appear that any notion of our January activity being bankrolled by Rupp, is wide of the mark.

In the end of course he sanctioned it under the present circumstances he could have ordered a frugal policy

We don't really know whether he sanctioned it directly. It may be that the club were simply operating within a previously agreed, self sustaining budget. My point being, it seems unlikely that he's had to dip into his own pockets to fund what we've done in January. Judging by Sparks comments, its been funded by supporters.

Nobody is analysing anything? They're saying we should wait and see instead of jumping in with two feet after a very short period of game time.

It makes perfect sense to me and I'm not really sure why you're taking your stock line of reading it as a negative.

I think your last line answers your own question. Some people are just inclined a certain way.

Do you really think Rhodes and Lawn would have sanctioned transfer fees, they rarely did in the good cup years and Rhodes admitted that there is no way they would have sanctioned Charlie Wyke fee with no cup runs. Rupp has loaned us over £1 million interest free and compare that to Lawns 9% interest, which he was entitled to charge but where Rupp gets slammed on here Lawn is exempt from any criticism.

Rupp gets slammed because hes overseen the worst period of football in my living memory as a football fan.
Lawn oversaw us have a cup final, a promotion and two of the best cup runs we've ever had culminating in arguably the biggest shocks this club has ever achieved.
Rupp ain't redeemed in my eyes until we're back in league 1 no matter what he spends in league 2.

All that came after 5 years of the Lawn/Rhodes reign though. Four years of which were absolute garbage on a par with the first few months of this season.

Oh i agree, Lawn and Rhodes reign until Parky got into full flow was a disaster. Just pointing out why Rupp quite rightly gets stick.

Lawn isn't exempt from criticism from Me. He was far from perfect as an Owner, but so is Rupp. There are worse owners, absolutely. But based on his performance since he bough the club, he's taken it backwards year on year, at least so far.

Look, it’s pleasing that Bradford City fans are now starting to wake up.

Rupp has been a failure and should have taken the club forward. He need to leave.

However, Lawn & Rhodes are not a pairing that gets off lightly they were shocking too but at least under them we did move forward on the pitch.

Bradford City finally getting into 2021 but off the pitch it’s miles away from where it should be and needs to be. On the pitch it’s a country mile away even though results have picked up.

Bradford City as a club over recent times has been nothing but a failure!!

Lawn and Rhodes shocking?..the same pair that introduced affordable season tickets seeing fans, and in particular families flocking back to watch us. They were in charge during one of the most memorable periods watching City, including promotion and cup runs that will live forever in our memories.

They weren't perfect by any means, which football club owners are?, but to label them as being shocking is incredibly harsh and to be fair, nonsense.

I welcome the backing Rupp has provided lately, however, he has also being in charge and responsible for overseeing the rapid decline and damaged all the good work achieved under Lawn and Rhodes, so agree he has been a poor owner for us so far. I am happy to see him stick around and give him more time to turn it around though

I think we all eventually had the same opinion on Rahic. When it comes to Rupp, Sparks Lawn and Rhodes this site will always be split. That's because the Bantams Forum reflects life in general, you've got the glass half full lot (optimists) and the glass half empty (pessimists). With me it depends on what's in the glass, with Fordy it probably depends on who's buying!
Seriously though I usually give people the benefit of the doubt to start with. Having said that I was against Paul Jewell getting the job after Chris Kamara (so much for my judgement). Although there was an hour long interview with Jewell on Radio Leeds after which I understood why Richmond made that decision.

I think with Rupp, he clearly doesn't want to have any real involvement. That has an upside and a downside. He's not going to lead us to glory himself, but neither is he likely to interfere - he'll entrust the running of the club to Sparks. I also think he MAY be tempted to invest money, where there's a return to be had. In the not too distant future we're going to have to make a call about what we do with the ground, which will be interesting to see how he approaches things.

Not interested in the affordable tickets. I think that was to blind side people from OFF the pitch improvement.

Bradford City fans as high percent of them are easy to please. Have no standards. Someone we know can come on here and go it's going to take 5 years. New training ground cost x and some of you fooled.

They were shocking because they didn't improve the club and then sold it to the worst owners ever.

Just to point out that under Lawn from 2007 to 2012 we had some of the worst seasons I’ve ever seen watching City. It then culminating in a threat to relocate to Odsal, so please don’t give me this rubbish that Lawn was a fantastic time as we had 5 years of misery under him until they appointed a good manager in Parkinson. Rahic is to blame for what happened in the last few years as Rupp mistakenly trusted him.
