I didn't say all fouls did i. Don't quote me on something i haven't said. For the last time, the lad did not cheat, there were hands on him illegally by the laws of the game denying the opportunity to turn the defender in the box. He has the right to go down. The ref gave the right decsion. Move on.

 

Yet again you struggle to understand the concept. Bless.

 

If that was a penalty there should be numerous penalty’s every match because most referees ignore it

As I say that’s fair enough as long as they give it every time there will be some big scores. As I said earlier John Napier if you remember him used to say differentl rules in box

 

Thought the ref was ok. Jeez I remember Darren deadman. He was useless.
the ref last week was decent too. Used common sense.
They got a pen that I can understand AOC got turned. POC arguably fouled their CF who was a handful all game at the end too. I see it as they got one and we avoided one.

O'Connor's left arm never leaves his left shoulder, even as he gets spun. AOC still has hold of him when he goes down.

I don't even think he goes down particularly easily - but whether he does or not, he's impeded by AOC the whole time.

It's pointless comparing it to a situation at a corner - it's just a lump into the box, you get your head on it, you don't put your arms all over the opponent.

 

I get both points of view on the penalty. AOC has his arms around him in the box - difficult to argue against a penalty. His arms are around him and the commentator says he's pulling him back yet he falls over forwards. Definitely some conning going on as well. There's nothing AOC does that accounts for the player going to ground in the way he does.

 

I Thought it was a soft decision at the time. Watched it again and I still think it's a soft one. If it were the other way round I'd have thought we were fortunate.

 

Deliberately fouling someone when making no attempt to actually play the ball is the most obvious example of cheating in the game!

 

Over the years sitting just behind the goal I have seen the likes of Hanson stead and Wyke piggy backed wrestled sandwiched and given the Gascoign treatment and nothing given

 

It was a pen. The guy just played it up a bit. Later on, their other player could have done the same, but chose to stay on his feet, and a pen wasn't given.
I thought the ref was ok, as was the one last week. A few challenges flying in, Cooke grabbing someone by the neck, timewasting and a few players in the refs ear - but he chose not to escalate things. Perhaps now there's no crowd, they don't get swayed so much. Or perhaps now they don't have an audience, they don't tend to steal the limelight as they used to.
It's the same for both teams. Now that we have players actively attacking the box, perhaps we will get some penalties from now on!

Most refs would have given a free kick to City for backing in and pushing, Poor decision by a poor ref

 

A good ref would have given US a penalty.

 

Who cares? We won the game - none of this matters!

 

They had a genuine shout for a penalty in the second half
