Andy Cook Signs on Loan

I've just read his interview on the City website and like how he says "We are on a good run at present and I want to score goals and help us". It already sounds as if he belongs to here.

 

Or sit Clarke on the bench for the rest of the season. He's decent back up but doesn't score or even assist anywhere near enough for someone playing in a front 3.

Also, playing Rowe wide is a terrible idea. There's no way he's got the mobility to get up and down the line protecting the full back. We need him in and around the box, where he's the most dangerous.

 

Judging by how well Hosannah did in one match earlier this season he could play in that right position

 

So Burrell for Samuels, Rowe to help Novak and now cook for Guthrie. Excellent business so far

 

If Rowe moves central to accommodate Cook then Cooke would have to move out wide.

Why does Cook have to start? We've plenty of options now but more importantly a system that works so if Rowe, Cook or A.N.Other needs to be benched to retain the system then so be it.

The square pegs in round holes problem seems to have been eradicated by T&S, lets not encourage bringing it back.

 

Not for me. He did ok but in the occasions he made space and got into the box he definitely looked more like a full back than a wide player.

 

Let's face it if he's disruptive in the dressing room like you say then he won't be offered a contract. He will only be playing here for 3 months so if he's doing anything to disrupt the dressing room it won't be for long.

 

Strike rate?. 75 goals in his last 3 seasons in the National League, 19 goals in his first season in the football league in league 1 with relegated Walsall. The only club he has struggled to score regularly is with Mansfield. As we know with Doyle, it just doesn't happen for players at some clubs for some reason

 

Well most of the Mansfield fans rate him and his strike rate taking in the conference league one and 2 is very good makes him a good addition in my eyes even if he doesn’t play every game

 

We could sigh @Bronco and you would say he's a good signing.

As, I say and I know it was your birthday yesterday but I have to remind you that you have the worst judgement of players on Bantam Talk and I would more than likely say the whole Bradford City fan base. Totally shocking!!

 

And as I said you have the worst opinion on anything except midgets where you are a world leading authority

 

This should be a good signing if Cook can hold the ball up and bring the others into play.
Not been mentioned but City got lucky here in the timing of Novak's injury- if a week or so later we wouldn't have been able to bring in anyone with the window shut and bolted up!
