I misread this over my morning coffee. "French to the Prem?!" I blurted out! What's the world coming to?

 

Rowe would be a very good signing, for at least 18 months. If we can involve Donaldson going the other way, then VERY happy days.

 

Our transfer activity so far appears to be loosely aimed on a one out one in basis.
This makes sense keeping in mind our financial restraints.
Without having seen any of the newbies play as yet, the criteria in only wanting players that want to play here appears to bode well.
The latest detail coming from the club, is there's a couple more players required in the form of a forward and winger, in all likelihood this could spell the end for DHM ( or whatever his name is). Ismail is injured therefore won't be going anywhere.
Hopefully the pro-active manor of our business will bode us well in our haste to pull away from the relegation dog-fight.
However, my one concern here, we're not adding a lot of meat to the bone of the squad, the injuries Stu's had to contend with in last few weeks here, highlighted our need for adequate cover.
We're unlucky club when it comes to injuries to key players, if we continue this way, we could be struggling in the second part of the campaign, we do need to add a bit more depth and increase numbers, along with the quality.

That would be a massive blow on the back of O'Donnells injury.

Despite the relatively feel good factor under T&S so far, compared to McCalls disastrous reign, we must not forget that we are still heavily embroiled in a battle to preserve our league membership. We might get a helping hand today if the National League is curtailed though

 

I agree that in terms of cover it does leave us a bit light but thats balanced against we've let go a lot of players who've not proved to be capable replacements.
The one out, one in policy at least means if we find we've got ourselves another dud then the new crop are on much shorter contracts and probably lower wages than someone like BRE.

Interesting point about the National leagues and how this may impact ourselves if we remain within a relegation battle. An article in the telegraph today referenced the Dagenham chairman saying that "He does not expect a vote on ending the season until later in the month after the problems are discussed."

We need to continue with the belief that relegation from league 2 will remain. The second half of this season should be aiming for continued improvement building momentum going into next season.

Dont know if this is true or not but could explain why the striker role is taking extra attention and care from all involved - i.e. not just been rattled off like all the other signings that had in the pipeline. And could be why info I was passed indicated were talking to more than just 1 person

 

If it is Novak who is injured if the rumour is true then it would be a massive blow it would explain why they are going for a similar type in Rowe

Peterborough chairman confirming the Wood rumour was nonsense. The rumour started on Bantams small talk..... cant believe people thought it might be real

 

A swap deal would be great, I hope if that's what Oldham are looking at because of potential add ons they know what Clayton is rumoured to be on at Valley Parade.

 

If we play one up front 3 strikers plus Evans and Clarke is more than enough.
