Not many goals for an attacking midfielder?? He has had so many clubs due to his loan spells. He was excellent for an Oxford side and could quite easily have been playing in the championship. My only surprise is the level he is currently at

 

Only if he brings Barry Grant & Sheila Grant with him though.

 

Could be some truth in it, Oldham have a few players I wouldn't mind seeing at City. Oldham look destined for a midtable finish and assuming they like most teams are struggling with cash flow they may be looking to offload

 

Football is a funny old game. The team top of league 2 have players deemed not good enough for city, but a team destined for a mid-table finish seemingly have a wealth of players that people want to see signing for us.

 

Oldham looked a decent side against us particularly Rowe

 

Looking at an Oldham forum, it doesn't sound like they'll be surprised if Rowe left in the summer. Seems like he doesn't get on with the ownership. There's some belief in the fan base, Danny Rowe was opting not to play in December due to him still not having all his furlough money. The fans seem to believe the squad still haven't been paid their furlough cash, and Rowe chose not to play until he had his owed amount.

He scored 3 in 3 from Nov 21st to Dec 1st. Then was benched for the Dec 5th match and didn't come on, played an hour in the mickey mouse JPT cup on the 8th but then didn't make a squad again until Jan 1st when he was on the bench and again didn't come on. According to Kewell, he missed the 5 games from Dec 8th - Jan 1st with a "tight muscle". He had his first start last Saturday since and got an assist, with some of the fan base believing he finally had his owed money.

I'd be happy if we replaced Guthrie with Rowe though. 7 goals isn't a bad return and he's still got a few years left in him, experienced as well, which is hard to find these days. Think he'd help Novak out a lot too.

 

It's amazing how many players aren't good enough to get into our team full stop.

Its an appalling league isn’t it. Was looking the other day and even if Cambridge are replaced by Salford in top three come the end of the season, there’s a lack of quality teams who could press on for top 10/playoffs.

Exeter might have it in them to push on, Mansfield under Clough are doing better. It’s not been plain sailing for Tranmere. Walsall are capable of better, perhaps.

City would have had a real good go of kicking on had Stuart been sacked a month sooner but seventh looks out of reach now.

He was reasonable enough in L1 so should be fine in the khazi league.
I wouldn't want him to be our final striker signing, but as a squad player and cover for Novak we could do a lot worse. He'd been a step up from the Don, surely.
