    I think he'd be a decent signing .
Carved a good career for himself.
    I'll welcome him back

I stand corrected, who can blame him for celebrating!
In isolation wouldn’t be a bad signing for me, I’ve a Pompey fan friend who raves about him.
We need more, but as this covid situation develops again I’m not sure we’ll see more signings. And I can, in part, understand if we are being cautious with the exception of the obvious right back issue.

If he signs we should get behind him despite what has happened - after all if he is encouraged by fans on line and once we are eventually back in VP we will hopefully see performances that benefit the team to get points on the board. He was made captain at Portsmouth so could bring the much required leadership - an attribute currently missing in some of our squad members.

He's improved a lot, we played him up front in those days but he's carved out a career for himself as an attacking midfielder at this level.
Always played well against us, especially at Pompey the season before last when we got hammered.
32 but a very good athlete who obviously looks after himself and has played almost half games in League One.

About time you gave it a rest pal and got back on your medication of antidepressants. You were probably one of the guys he was giving it large to after he scored.

If Evans does come back then he'll be a solid signing in terms of being a good pro who can play in a couple of positions without really excelling in any of them. If we were prioritising a signing then surely it's got to be pace upfront/goals which Evans won't bring? He won't be a bad signing, but equally such a player wouldn't be top of my list if I was looking to dramatically improve the current squad.

Captained a big club in Portsmouth and their fans love him. I’ve been pretty negative of late but I think Evans would be a great signing. As many have mentioned he plays with an edge, we’re crying out for someone like him.

I still think we are 3 or 4 short so Evans would be good but if he is right wing then we are overloaded a bit down that side now and no one to play left wing?

I totally agree with you but it's because of those who don't rate or want him here that he'll probably sign for Bolton if they are one of the club's interested in him. Then he'll play against us, have a good game and maybe even score the winner but the moaners will be happy.
    Am I been cynical?

Why not he’s a lot better than the attacking midfield options we already have

I live in Portsmouth now and heard good things off friends who are supporters, need to ask them more now we're rumoured...

Don't even know IF Evans is coming back but
our "Dads Army" tag still seems to resonate
with the club. We've had older players who were
exceptional but a lot are looking for a last pay
    day .

When signing a player it's a gamble but we seem
to prefer short term older players with no future
gain like you might get from a young hungry player.

There are a fair few youngsters in the present City side you still some seasoned professionals in there to bring them along.

We've been lacking a leader out there on the pitch for seasons perhaps he would be just what we need.

Did you read what I wrote? I didn't say he wouldn't be better than the attacking mid options. I said that if we were prioritising a signing it should be pace/goals upfront which Evans won't bring.
