Well Stuart's now had a look at what Zeli brings to the team, he had to be the worst player on the pitch yesterday and that includes the FGR players, looked like he couldn't be arsed.

 

He didn’t look fit. But to be fair to him, he was also playing in a position he shouldn’t have been, and in a system that was never going to help him.

 

Sorry mate if he is not fit now he never will be, I'll quote Stuarts post match comment after the Lincoln game, easy to blame the formation, but if players cant/wont do the basics the formation is not the problem.

There wasn't a worse player on the pitch than Guthrie yesterday. The bloke was not only poor, he also couldn't be arsed.

 

The problem was needlessly playing 4 or 5 players out of position and that's on Stuart, not the players.

 

4 games no goals is it now? After an amazing pre season?

 

Why didn’t Stuart run down the clock by making the 3rd substitution before he had to?

I know in hindsight it was fortunate that we had one left with the Staunton injury, but when the added time clock got to 4 minutes, he could have wasted 2 with a substitution before that.

 

How was any player in the upfront 5 supposed to excel in his role when he's not sure what it is? I'm not gonna bag Ismail or the others yesterday for having to adapt to a completely new formation so early in the season. Baffling lineup.

Agreed. If he isnt fit, then that's on him. But that lineup was baffling. It smacked of desperation. Unless - and I dont think this was the case - it was a protest selection on the basis of not being backed.

 

That did cross my mind as well TBH to really highlight how short we are in certain areas and how we need to move asap ro sort the new players out.

 

Its an excuse for another poor management job I never thought I would ever hear.

Do you really think that Teflon deliberately put out a weak team, players in wrong positions, to play in a formation that was designed to show our weaknesses and, very possibly, result in a defeat?

If there is even a whiff of that he should be immediately shown the door.

That is tantamount to gross misconduct.

But I don't believe it.

It was simply his modus operandi. He tinkers constantly so yesterday is something we have seen in every one of his spells.

He has been working with, looking at these players for 8 months. He has brought in or resigned (his decision) a number of players but still doesn't seem to have the foggiest idea what the plan is. He even claimed yesterday that he had only been looking at them for 6 or 7 weeks.

You know I don't rate him so I would bite the bullet now and go for the Cowley Bros.

 

Everyone could see he was being talked up to try fill the Vaughan shaped hole. Problem is, he's one of the worst footballers I've seen in a long time and to top it off he's lazy and disinterested.

We constantly bang on about not signing people because we need the right "characters" at the club and then we shoehorn guys like him into the side. It's about as "Bradford City" as you can get.
