Every player should know their role, but if he’s changing formation trying to confuse the opponent, he’s doing the complete opposite and confusing the players. Parky picked players to suit a system and in the main, he stuck to it. Stuart’s trying to be too clever and he doesn’t have the players who can adapt. Let them get confidence first before throwing them to the wolves.

I was probably as baffled as most today with the line up. Players out of positions when people in squad are naturally play there. Maybe they are better footballers debatable but come off it. Think he lost the plot.
4 centre Half's 2 playing out of positions right back and left back. Right back understand as no right side player at min until Levi ban ends. Left back though? Longridge on bench and Connor playing out if position when Cooke on bench. Then Henry winger on bench but play Guthrie there.
None of the above makes sense then cousin Dawson centre half except he a kid but surely when you loose 2 centre Half's take a forward off and bring on defender no we move the forward there.
Sure the players must be so confused. As are fans so next week do we get in another centre half when we half 6? Right back definitely need as well as two strikers. For me this should have all been done before season started.

I only heard bits of McCall's post match interview, but he seemed to indicate he tinkered with the side to match up FGR's expected starting line up. Why can he not just pick a side, with players in their natural positions, and let the opposition worry about us instead

Things Learnt from today;
We maybe a bit shit but so are all the other teams in league 2 this year.
We need to wise up against teams like FGR, as above French should have acted like he’d been shot, McCall hates diving and cheating, he needs to give his head a shake.
We’ve played three teams (two in the league) who are thought to be top seven teams and held our own, some posters need to get a grip!
It’s going to be a long season, it’s not going to be easy on the eye!
Stuart has absolutely no idea about tactics horses, courses or well anything other than motivation, when it comes to management he’s a ginger Kevin Keegan.
Despite the doom sayers we might well be in the mix at the end of the season!

 

Never seems to learn

 

All other teams are not shit this year in league two. We’ve played two sides who might push for top ten but aren’t very good.
There will be some half decent sides. Salford, Port vale, Walsall to name a few

 

And if you have a look 10 seconds before this still, we had a player standing on the left side of the wall, who just decides to run off and mark players in the box. If he'd bent it round the left hand side, he probably would have scored as well. Should be the keeper/captains decision who goes where in a wall.
Set pieces seem to be our downfall this season. Come to think of it, the past couple of seasons.
