A very good summary, on today's evidence neither of these sides would be pushing for the playoffs never mind automatics.

I don't get it, both McCall and Wood have said that if Staunton wasn't on the deck injured, he'd have been in the centre defending the ball that came in for the goal. But it was Stauntons complete miskick that put him on his arse, and allowed the ball to get to their man. There's no way he would have got up in time and into position to make a clearing header.
Despite the red cards, we should be beating a team like this in the first 45mins, and taking control after going one up. Really confusing tactics, if we had any at all. I couldn't see any channel of play that looked liked it was part of a plan.
Ismael is worse than DMH. Watt was absent apart from his free kick/cross. Was Billy Clarke on the pich?

Novak can get a bit of credit for playing out of position, but Guthrie can't. I can understand him being hung out to dry when on the wing, but when he went back to playing centre forward and we were trying to defend the game, he should have been taken off because he was not putting any effort in at all. Blowing out of his arse, or just not caring. Who knows. Would have preferred Donno coming on rather than Guthrie trotting around.

I hope Stuart has additional memory on his ipad, because he's going to have several windows open at once now we need centre backs, full backs, strikers and a holding midfielder.

No because without their keeper making two huge feck ups we wouldn't have scored. At 11 v 11 they were more likely to score although that isn't saying much.

It was hardly a classic but we were in front twice we must have done something right, defending is part of the game and we did that very well once we went down to 10 and again stuck to the task when we went down to 9, without young Reece's misskick we could have all 3 points

How much do the probable suspensions balls up our recruitment now?

Money earmarked for right back and centre forward are now likely going on a centre half. I suppose that will be another excuse for another player not coming in.

Am i right in thinking that any loan has to be window to window now? Dont think we can just bring in a centre half for a month

Doing something right is stretching it bronco. Both times we went in front were flukes. We created absolutely nothing again. The goals were our only shots on target from memory if you can describe them as shots.

    Ah, the old "unbeaten" statistic.

Guess what me ol' mucka, if we keep up this points per game ratio we'll get relegated.

    That positive enough for you!

Bronco, It was a backs to the wall performance....in the end but BUT using "if Staunton had not made his mistake" doesn't really fly does it? If they hadn't missed their penalty? If their goalkeeper hadn't made the mistake with our second goal. If their goalkeeper hadn't dropped the ball (mistake?) for our first?

Once over the euphoria of actually getting away with a point and looking at the performance we were very, very average against another very, very average team.

We messed with the starting line up, our midfield looked anonymous, we put a striker on the wing and he looked like he had never played a game of football in his life, while having quick, 'winger' types both on the field and on the bench.

I am glad we got out of gaol in the end but there was nothing in that performance as a whole that gives me any encouragement for the season ahead and the tinkering with the team and formation..again... continues to worry me.

The phrase you use "As I and others saw it". If you look at the 90 mins, 270 across three games .. what is it you see? Improvement? Encouraging signs? Because I don't see any yet.

Maybe he was blowing out of his arse because he was made to run up and down the wing in an unnatural position for an hour..
Guthrie wasn't any worse than Clarke, Watt, AOC and Ismail.

He was poor with the first but give credit to Novak for playing the % game, the second was a great free kick from the kid Watts, right in the danger zone, hardly the keepers fault, not sure their keeper could be expected to cover the near post with 14/15 players in the box.

City have made our man of the match vote really difficult, by excluding Luke McGee.

Ive questioned you on your take on McCall, today you have every right to question that line up. That was hanging players out to dry today, FFS play players in their favoured positions. This is league 2, no need to complicate things for average footballers.

Me too to be honest mate. The way we want to play it was always going to be difficult today against a team of thugs (it must be a reaction to having a vegetarian diet forced on them). We then go and make it difficult for ourselves with a lack of discipline.
We are definitely lacking in few positions (not as many as some of our unhappy clappers think).
Paudie isn't as good as I think we thought he would be, AOC is capable of better and needs to start showing it, as for BRE, he doesn't suit the way McCall wants to play and I'd only start him if the opposition play a big bruiser up front.
We need a pacey frontman which we all know, including McCall, a right back (or good wingback) and a central midfielder to at least put pressure on what we already have. The young inexperienced lads like Watt and Staunton will develop quicker if the experienced players like AOC are setting a good example. We probably need another centre half but that probably isn't going to happen unless we can move one on. I'd also prefer an outfield player as captain, EVEN if that meant it being AOC!
I know some people think the whole squad is crap and needs replacing but that isn't going to happen either so we need face up to it.
I'm not a happy clapper (whatever that is) but after 46 years following City I refuse to let it depress me, I have a big moan, several beers, come on this forum and have my say, then try to look for forward.

Were gonna have to disagree, both goals were down to keeper errors and nothing more.

Can't argue with that. I've always believed that playing a player out of position is a last resort.

Are you going to accuse the other players i listed as not giving a toss? Probably not. Won't match the scapegoat agenda will it?

Have a read on here https://bantamtalk.com/index.php?threads/game-2-forest-green-away.4232/, and see how many Bradford City fans though we would get any sort of result, you can dispute what I posted but I'd suggested it was from Reece's miss kick that ended with Forest Greens equilizer, not a criticism of the kid more fact, no more to be added.
So we can take what you've posted as fair comment but not another posters opinion, but
