We aren't going bust, but there are plenty of clubs struggling badly thanks to a situation beyond their control.

Man City are just the tactless, gluttonous rich kid who inherited all his money splashing the cash while another family struggles to feed itself.

I didn't say it was new, I didn't say it was a one off, but it is disgusting and it's unjustifiable. There is no excuse for it, but in your defence you're just used to it and we can't do anything about it

Reading the Mansfield statement clearly a tie up with Ifollow to stream all matches is in place. City will by now know how things will work. Crowds have to be part of the new season as soon as possible otherwise there is a serious question mark on whether clubs will ever complete the 20/21 season at this level and below.

If City sold 8000 season tickets on the back of a mix of Ifollow; an initial rota and then full access to the stadium at the end of the year. I suspect most would get in with social distancing and at the "rota stage" as 8000 is a third capacity. Also you have to take into account that there are a good number that would choose not to go; or cannot because they are in the vulnerable groups or have simply lost interest in City ?

I put myself in the later category; the only thing tying me to it is Stuart. Without his presence i would simply be consigning 20/21 to a socially distanced brief. I agree with others sat there on a Saturday watching a dodgy internet Ifollow stream is not my idea of watching football. It is more than just the game. Even if I had Ifollow I would only end up going round to my brothers and watching it there with them. Thats what the game experience is about watching and debating with others. Not sat there like on your todd in front of a screen buffering for grim death ! So why would I pay for a season ticket to watch it on my own ?

If its about watching it on screen to start with I would be far far better off slinging my £150 ? at Sky Sports and at least having a decent reception and the best football to watch. Why do I want to watch City playing park football with Barrow; Harrogate & Salford. When I can watch Leeds taking shots at Man U; Man C and Liverpool for my money ? Its not a difficult decision given how very tenuous the value will be in a 20/21 City season ticket ?

I probably would be prepared to chuck £50 at a limited membership that keeps my name on my regular seat for 21/22. I feel given the past 25 years sat in it I have a right to that. But as I say stumping up £150-200 or more ? juat does not seem to make a lot of sense; other than just because it "helps the club"

I am sure Ryan Sparks & Co are working to try and come up with something to suit ? But at the end of the day; its going to be about what value you; I and the next person place on that in these challenging times. It will be interesting to see how it pans out. But I cannot deny that after initially being adamant I wanted to return as soon as. I have tempered it somewhat and to be honest a 20/21 season spent "socially distanced" from Bradford City does hold appeal on a number of levels.

It’s probably a debate for another thread but every top club has had a rich backer who has propelled them to success and these clubs are now reaping the rewards of it. The game has never changed. Wealthy backers make the clubs the top clubs the world over. Bayern, Juventus, Real Madrid, man united, Liverpool Chelsea. These fans that have this delusion that they somehow got the success from hard work alone are talking rubbish.
Seems we just hate the Man City owners more in this country. Because they are Arabs? Who knows. It’s the same at Chelsea et al.

As I say I digress now. De-railing the thread. I am leaving it alone

Surely the last paragraph applies to all clubs? Under 11’s Season Tickets were £25 for a season, so the revenue from that was very small.

Well of course but I was more thinking some households might have two parents who attend paying adult prices. Then an over 18 year old who still lives at home who goes with them. All they will do is pay for one ifollow and all watch together

I would think it would vary. The group I go with have been Dad’s and Kid’s, my wife although very knowledgeable about football use to come to one or two games a season, when my daughters were kids. Last time she came to a match was the Play Off final. My daughters went to University and live away, although they Independently have Season Tickets and get to some games.

Agree with a lot of it, except the Leeds part. Not sure why any City fan would want to watch Leeds now, they were far more interesting in the championship where they were the big fish fighting for promotion. Like another 12 or so teams in the PL they’ll be fighting for mid table and as a neutral viewer nothing bores me more than them teams. Only time I’ll watch Leeds is first couple of games if there are none more interesting and last few should they be fighting to stay up. A mid season Leeds Burnley scrap for 12th place doesn’t get the juices flowing. It’s why I watch far more championship football than PL, far more interesting games usually.

I don't get how any City fan could cast aside their club and watch Premiership/Championship football as an alternative.
    Good job were all different.

I don’t think most will tbf. Having a team creates extra excitement in sport, neutrality is often bland.

Perhaps use your season ticket refund you were so keen to chase up to pay for it.

Agree with this. I know others have responded saying they would rather not watch then watch it on the TV. But I feel this site isn't really somewhere where you would find floaters. Lots would watch on TV, get bored, and then pie their season tickets along with their Ifollow accounts.

Seems fair although it's not entirely clear if you can choose to be in 'claret' or 'amber' to ensure you go with friends or family. Also what happens if we sell less than 14k STs? The individual match ticket part doesn't make sense. Are they available to other ST holders who would miss out for this game? Or on general sale?

I think we will struggle to sell 7,000 tickets so why restrict attendance to 50% of matches?

My queries would be if you don’t renew do you keep your ticket the year after and does it count as a year for the 25yr deal

but then they say you will be allocated a seat at point of purchase so if you buy separately you could be sat separately even if in same Amber/Claret

I do understand it. there are two elements to a connection to a team.

There is the emotional connection with Bradford City and there is an interest in football outside of Valley Parade.

I am a Bradford City supporter. Wherever I have lived in the UK and around the world when asked who I support I say 'Bradford City'. But I have spent season where I have decided to watch other teams, either because I have lived there, or simply because I am also interested in football overall.

Leeds is a bit to close to the bone. I could never bring myself to go to Elland Road ever (I have never seen Leeds play live, have never set foot in Elland Road and fully intend for it to remain that way for as long as I last.)

However, I have been a regular at Fulham, Spurs, West Ham (late 70's), Burnley, Manchester Utd (early 80'S), Portsmouth, Plymouth (mid 70')and I was a season ticket holder at Luton Town during their League One/Premiership days in the mid 80's and early 90's.

My point being I have no problem with people deciding they want to see something else and taking a break from Bradford.
