Just on a break for lunch but I might even miss tonight’s release as well.

I was on a onsite job yesterday down in Hampshire. It’s the kind of job I’ve done multiple times and would be home no problem for the release time but with COVID procedure I was expecting it to take longer so thought I might not be. Obviously I wasn’t. However it didn’t just take longer that I was late home, I didn’t even get home.

It's taken so much longer to do everything with having to stay 2 metres apart from the companies in-house IT people whom I'm working with and having to wipe everything down (and bloody masks mean you have to take a break much more often) that I’m not even sure it will get done today either (we are about 60% through putting in all the cables and hardware in but we still need to configure it)

I'm just glad all their staff are working remotely, if we were having to work around them with the restrictions it would take a bloody month to do an job that should be less than 8 hours.

Oh and I can’t believe how much hotels are cashing in on this. Double the cost of normal . Thank god the company is picking up my expenses.
