Are these 2 national league players you mentioned above, still playing at national league level?

 

Presumably one of them is this guy from Boreham wood

I appreciate transfer rumours are mainly speculative and seldom happen but they are a part of the close season build up.
How you choose or debate various comments in the transfer thread is down to an individuals perseption nothing more.

 

My understanding is they were with National League clubs last season

 

Heard we've asked about Ethan Chislett at Aldershot. Doubt we'll get him though, lots of clubs have enquired.

Guilty as charged your honour. I think I was trying to deflect it into a Jack Diamond rumour!!!

 

When we are signing players like Billy Clarke it's not really anything to be excited about.

Most exciting thing is Rhodes could be replaced soon. That's the best transfer ever!

Jacob Butterfield

Personally not fussed about bringing him back as he didn't exactly do much in his first spell (albeit in that god-awful team) and not sure he'd want to drop to lg2, but he's been released by Luton, still a good age and is a local lad. Believe he would count towards having a home grown player for when Donaldson is inevitably injured also.

If we could get him cheap, maybe?

We have both Cook and Clarke that can play in his position.

 

Good player, I liked him. But, we have his type already in Cooke so I'm not sure we'd need him, especially on a reduced budget.

 

And Clarke mate.

 

Yeah, it would be very much a Rahic move to keep signing the same types of players.

Cooke will be a less expensive way to get a similar effect.

 

Simon Parker seems to think not one of our targets.

Apparently we are waiting for clubs in higher leagues to get back to us for either loan or permanent offers

 

Seriously? He would be a cracking signing but don't see him dropping to L2 for a grand a week. No chance.

 

That's a shame. Regardless of whether Vaughan stays or goes, I still think we need another forward - younger and faster and with potential and he seemed to fit the bill perfectly. Not saying we would have got him if we were in for him, as I'm sure there will be interest from quite a few clubs but it's disappointing to hear we aren't even trying.
