Reading through that lot I'm even more baffled than I was before lol

 

When you are in an area if Bradford that has had zero cases in the last week and you because the council wanted it are forced to follow lockdown because places that were showing a large number of cases a month ago and still are showing a large number of cases you think what bother.

I'm hoping this changes because otherwise I will have to explain to my daughter that no one will be allowed to see her on her 9th birthday because people 10 miles away for a month were told what would happen, but continued anyway.

Yet those from Leeds bordering Thornbury where the rates are high a few miles from the spikes can enjoy numerous people visiting their houses.

 

It's not the end of the world.

 

When you are 9 and you haven't seen your friends for 4 months because you have been forced out of school and you have had social distance thrust upon you and have dealt with it the best you can, to see a play date taken away from you because of the actions of others who were told a month ago what would happen if they ignored it, but have ignored it anyway it does to a 9 year old.

 

My 16 year old son has had his GCSE exams ripped away from him. Think yourself lucky you only have play dates to be concerned with.

 

That was at a time the whole country was locked down. It is not down to a local lockdown due to the selfishness of others, and the demands of the council that everyone regardless should be hit with the same stick.

You can accept others prolonging your lockdown forever if you want, the council can get fecked for me.

 

You do know its not the councils implementing the lockdowns?

 

You know it is the council who requested the whole district to be locked down, not just the areas of concern.
The council leader's excuse is we are all in it together and we should pull together.

 

Don't mean to be flippant but at least it ain't 4 years of bombs and doodlebugs pouring down on you...

 

I think the right wing press and the incredibly effective Conservative smear campaign that harnessed ALL forms of media really did a number on Corbyn.

I absolutely feel the election campaign of Boris and his wingman was focused FAR more on discrediting Corbyn than promoting Boris. It worked because Corbyn was weak in opposition, but I can't remember anyone touting Boris as Prime Minister for any reason whatsoever, can you?

 

Cultural, behavioural and socio-economic factors are there to be analysed and discussed.

But much more pressing is the abject inability of the government to communicate with whole swathes of the BAME community.

That's the absolute number one problem, it doesn't need discussing or analysing, it simply needs improving dramatically.

 

Corbyn was exposed for what he really was. Even the left wing press had to report through gritted teeth on his shady past.

Boris took the middle ground with ease. Far more appealing than a hard left anti-semite.

 

This is interesting? How, and probably why, do you feel that BAME people need different communication?

 

I accept we have to do what is needed to sort this out.
What I don't accept is the whole district being locked down because of a problem that the council are scared to acknowledge due to political correctness so they will apply measure across everyone because they are too scared to focus on the problem.

There is a massive difference between needing to do something because it keeps everyone safe and being forced to do something even though large parts are doing what is required just because the message isn't getting through to a few.

 

How do you know there was zero cases? I didn’t think they had released that list, or do you just mean a few

But it is available in many languages so that can't be used as an excuse
