I am not sure if @Fordy117@Fordy117 has been to Warwick University, and I guess you haven’t? The site is on the outskirts of Coventry, you bypass Coventry on the A45 which is a good relatively fast road (unlike driving through a lot of gridlocked Bradford or the Aire Valley). Universities tend to be quiet at the weekend, a lot of staff who use the car parks are not in, so capacity to park/walk. There are established bus services into Coventry itself.
A lot will depend on the stadium design as to whether or not it is a modern soulless affair. I guess the Union bar would welcome all the potential weekend trade.

    You obviously dont.
Maybe you should think about the highlighted above before you tell someone there not ambitious, or you dont understand, they cant grasp it.
Just as your reply to me above, @Bronco@Bronco you in 2020 yet? What is Rhodes's job? Tell me what he does please?
I'm quite aware what century were in thanks "dont insult me".
Juian Rhodes runs Bradford City and communicates with the manager, and with the other heads of department at Valley Parade including Ryan Sparks and involves Stefan when his input is required.

Read this and tell me it's not insulting

I went there to take part in a recording of the Sky At Night last year; as you say, easy to get to by bus, with a regular, direct service to and from the railway station.

However, as far as the stadium announcement is concerned, remember it is SISU who are the Club's owners; they have a long track history of big announcements but no delivery. This is by no means the first new ground they have announced. So far, none have materialised.

Someone did pay up extra, Sheffield United last year and we're also due various add ons for them staying up.

Unfortunately the club getting extra just means more to recoup for the man that played a huge part in the clubs regression.

What I’d like to know is what are we going to do with our excess income if the salary cap comes in.

Last year we spent £2.5 million on wages but this year we are limited to £1.5 million so have an excess. Granted season ticket sales might not be at the same level as last year but I would assume they will still be high

Might go towards the ground rent with no income for months

Surely that is already covered. It would be interesting to know how many season ticket holders actually asked for a refund.

They’ve also been saying that the kit sponsorship is higher then before.

Granted this season is an exception but my point is what would they be doing with the excess monies. We should be using it to improve the scouting, academy and youth teams or improving other parts of the club.

My money is on it disappearing and we will have another deficit

    Is this a wind up?

Excess? After 4 going on 5 Months of zero income but still having significant outgoings we have eejits asking what are we going to do with the excess now we (may) have a £1.5M salary cap.

    Give your head a shake.

Firstly this has not been agreed.

I understand that City are against this proposal.

If passed it would have to be phased in, so existing contracts would have to be exempt or only count for a proportion of the total limit.

If we lose say 2,000 season tickets and the income is reduced because of potential attendance limits, lack of ‘pay on the day’, then City’s income could well be drastically reduced.

Do you really think we’ve lost that much income?

We probably have 1000 paying ticket holders each home game. The rest are season ticket holders. We’ve been paying 20% of our staffs salary since April and won’t have paid back any sponsorship income that we will have received at the start of the season

    Yeah OK Julian.

    Deficit - check
    Skint - check
Just happy to have a club - check

Now how's that bucket collection coming on? Those changing rooms won't paint themselves you know!

Some people believe everything that comes from the club especially now with Rhodes back at the wheel.

Can’t wait for Parker to start reporting we are struggling and need a cup run

Personally I'd b tempted to scrap season tickets this year. Charge £15 adult child oap tenner. And under fives a fiver. Evan with reduced crowds for distancing prob bring more money in than season ticket sales

No I would keep season tickets but have unreserved seating so stewards would allocate seats as you enter allowing friends to sit adjacent and families together
Then next season you get your seat back

Good idea. I would be happy to sit anywhere in the ground just to see some football.

Just think it will be hard to sell season tickets when they dont no when supporters will be allowed back in and how many at that. Also what happens if there was to be another lock down. They'd have to start dishing out refunds.
