If £1.25m is the salary cap, we're going to be above that no matter what.

The focus has to be on reducing the wage bill, in my opinion.

 

Prudence being the key. We've wasted good money on experience and not had the performance to merit the punt. By investment I was merely putting the emphasis on capturing and recognising talent that had ability to be part of a lean and mean squad which had the necessary chemistry to achieve. I totally agree we have to live within our means, but we have to ensure the 4 or 5 recruits muted really make an impact and improve us.

Edit - just seen the deadline FOR UEFA registration is 6th so they are asking FA to set 5th. So we shall see what each FA decide

 

It could be earlier but by the 5th of October which I think is fair.

Now the League 1 and 2 need a start date then decide if should start with or without fans.

Interesting from McCall today. Looks like RB and CM are the main area's of concern but we are not in a rush.

Heard a interview with operations at OT cricket ground today. OT has 25k stadium but with social distances he said it would be down to about 4k which is around( what @Dennis has been saying. I think). I think we could be looking at reduced crowds come October. It sounded in the interview that a reduced capacity has already been agreed.

Now the key things is who Bradford City decide on the 4k to attend.

 

We never bloody are in a rush... always have that 'no rush, as and when, if it happens' approach, it boils my piss! Itd be nice to have a 'first out of the blocks, go out and secure the best targets if you know what and who you want' mentality for a change! No wonder we're getting left behind...

 

I get your point Park and this year is an anomaly given the extenuating circumstances, but even before this in the last few seasons, weve always seemed to be slow off the mark with recruitment.

The best players always seem to sign for other sides around us, even though we've had really good budgets set for both L1 and L2. Weve got rid of some serious dead wood already this summer (thank god!)and the amount of quality players now out of contract is growing daily. It's a buyers market. Itd be nice to hear a bit of intent and positivity for once to get the fans excited about going forward
