Due to go next Tuesday but flight cancelled and now with 2 week isolation on return it's not worth it. Most places where we are remain closed as not economic to open with distancing rules which are being enforced. So hoping for all clear to Cyprus in Sept. Then Spain later but as I keep telling you next season starts 21st November so need to be here for the big kick off.

If the season does start in November and it's still behind closed doors, maybe you could invite @Fordy117@Fordy117 to an empty VP as your guest to watch the opening game? You can always sit at least 2 metres away from him! ;)

November seems late. Is that November with fans in your mind?

Germany back, Spain, Italy and PL, Championship should be back in June.

Think September start for the leagues that finish for sure. Still don't get how div 2 are going to pay for the testing that will be require through a season.

But will testing still be relevant by 21st November?

    I would have thought so.

Well doubt a vaccine will be ready.

Hope the plan from Div 2 is to hope all this is just going blow away.

Hodgkinson says Huddersfield, three points above the Championship relegation zone, want the season to restart "when it is safe", with clubs set to return to training on Monday.

But he says the game "is not looking at the bigger picture", with the main focus being on restarting the current season.

"It will cost each club between £150,000 and £200,000 for testing to get to the end of the season," he said. "But what happens after that?

"We have been told by the government that there will be no large gatherings until there is a vaccine and that is likely to be in 2021. That means football clubs will lose a vast proportion of their income outside of any broadcast money, which is likely to be significantly reduced or clawed back anyway.

"In normal revenue, we are looking at losing between £7m and £10m. The claw-back for TV is going to be £10m-£30m. That is just us. So, what is football going to do to ensure the entire pyramid survives this? The discussion is being avoided. For the next three, six or 12 months clubs are going to have no income."

‘Riposte’, “...the highest-paid player is at a southern-based club and is on £68,000 a week, whilst the average highest wage across all 18 clubs is £29,000”. https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/leaked-championship-report-wages-revealed-4084764
So on average 6 players wage for one week! My heart goes out to those poor Championship clubs!!! Hold on until after the end of June, wait a week as many Contracts will have expired and they will readily have enough!

This is fully what the Town owner said:

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52790371

Good read but again it's another bottom half club moan. The bottom clubs in all divisions are just not coming out of this any good at all.

Hull are just scared of going down as are Huddersfield but relegation needs to happen and will happen.

I read today that Brighton players had a go at the owner last week because of his negative and lack of confidence in them. Think West Ham player might have done the same @Interested Bystander@Interested Bystander .. have faith in your players and club. Funny I believe Brighton, West Ham, Hull and Huddersfield will all get out of trouble if their owners stop moaning.

An average wage of 29 grand a week? We're never getting back to the championship.

It would be called the Championship. It will be PL 2.

Clubs that don't own either their training ground or stadium shouldn't be allowed in.

When you strip Bradford City down it's worse then many non league clubs.

Hope you're wrong, been going there in Sept for a long time. I know Greece has opened resorts for Greek nationals and my hotel told me they are reopening this week, so presumably following Greece.
I know there are no flights yet but think by mid Sept there will have bee major relaxation to get economies going, vacinne or not.
Back for pre season then which fits with 21st November season start I keep telling Fordy. Cabinet meeting this morning so hope Fordy gets the point across so PM can announce Thursday in the three weekly review.
Cyprus is great enjoy it when you get there .

    Ha Bank Holiday today.

This government is weak I expect Cummings to resign(force too) this week and I think August/September flights we will back up and running to most countries.

As for you November start date though the Huddersfield chairman thinks about 30 clubs will be around.. I just don't hear about league 1 and 2 clubs tackling the problems of today. Maybe, they are hoping everything just goes away like Cummings does.
