Think you might get confused on where to sit. Bradford matches you sit in the the away end and Bradford away matches you sit in the home end ..

Everyone, could see Bowyer was shocking barring you and @Park bantam(no shock with him)

I think Vaughan must have some issues. He has played for 13 teams at the age of 31. I struggle to recall anyone else who has played for City with that CV! At this rate he will beat Marcus Bent’s tally of 14 clubs, but fail to get anywhere near John Burridge who was on the books of 29 clubs(not us)!

Blimey forgot about him. Having looked at his record, looks like 17 Premier/EFL clubs and an additional number of none league clubs!

Vaughan was absolute quality for the first half dozen games then got Bowyered. Replaced him with Guthrie.

Mate, i laughed at that post. Had to laugh or I would cry.

Vaughan fell out with Bowyer because he's football was dire. The fall out was back in October as well. Donaldson went missing.

Reeves played 2 decent games then got Bowyered. Shocking manager.

So did i, he was bang on. When Reeves came back he had a couple of good performances in his first games but as Fordy said he like the others suffered badly by a manager who hadn't a chuffing clue what he was doing. Just read Parkers review of the season and that sums it up. You could count on one hand the amount of decent performances and still have fingers left over. Don't think i've ever been as frustrated watching football.

In the world of @Park bantam@Park bantam and @Bronco@Bronco under Bowyer we were great under Bowyer. Don't know what they were watching but it wasn't football but Gary Bowyer was one awful manager. Has to be up in the top 5 worst ever in the history of the club.

Just pain awful! Shame Rhodes didn't sack him in Oct/Nov. He had a bigger budget then Fleetwood Town and wasted it. Played some of the worst football I have seen and was so cocky and rude to reporters. The man was a disgrace to this club. He didn't suit us at all.

In his defence he was a victim of circumstances in how little of the budget he had to work with. That said, some of the performances under him will go down in my top ten of worst games i've ever seen. The performances away against Mansfield and Oldham are in my top five. By the end the players were completely demotivated, they had no idea what they were being sent out to do and it was evident very early on that the demeanour of players, Vaughan especially, had changed. Name me another manager who could bring back the the leading scorer in the country and not create a single chance for him in 4 games?

I think "disgrace" is a bit harsh. Some weird strings were being pulled above his head, and I think this affected his managing, turning him from an ok manager to an over cautious one. Playing players in wrong positions and picking the wrong players was 100% his fault though. As mentioned, I wish we were brave enough earlier on in the season to part company with him. Would have been in the playoffs, largely due to Vaughan not buggering off. Definitely a forgettable manager.

If AOC and Vaughan want to leave then let them go free up wages. Agree Guthrie made zero impact and looked disinterested. He needs to make an impact or he won’t be in the EFL much longer. That’s an incentive.
TBH none on that list fill me with much excitement. Hopefully Stuart has a free hand to use his influence and contacts in a positive way. Suggestions of a Moneyball approach may work however how much patience would our fan base have for players who are a work in progress. See Wood who made many errors before improving latterly. Our fans expect to win the league so a balanced approach is required to manage the here and now as well as the future.

If a ceiling number of 20 professionals and a £1.25 million salary is put in place, then a lot of players could be facing redundancy!https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52738597
We have 27 on our books at present https://www.bradfordcityfc.co.uk/on-the-pitch/first-team-player-profiles/ So we would have to lose about 30%.
Also if our current budget is £2.5 million, then reducing it by half will mean smaller salaries for New players signing a contract.
I doubt Vaughan and O’Connor would get better contracts with new clubs, if they too have to operate with constrained numbers and budgets.

Surely with UK contractual law, you would be liable for a current contract until it's natural completion ?
Therefor Vaughan & AOC would just sit tight, if you wanted to pay them off (not sure how you would make them redundant with a bona fid contract) , bet you would still be looking at least 60-70% of it's current value & then they would be probaly be doing us a favour & have a cub to walk into. Which in the current climate aint going to happen.

I don’t think I disagreed with you in my post. I was replying to @Smartmart@Smartmart who had said, ‘If AOC and Vaughan want to leave then let them go free up wages”.

I agree with you, that they are likely to see out their contracts, as they may well not get anything like it in the future.

Vaughan in particular has two years left on his current contract and will be 32 in July.

In my view, O’Connor had a reasonable season and could probably get a contract elsewhere, but not sure he will get better than he has with us.
