I agree about the antibody tests, obviously the major issue is that one hasn’t been made yet that has been proved to work

Well it clear. If 10 nurses think they have it and 5 dont go to work that's 5 less members of staff working, the less staff the less people to look after someone then the more chance of someone's dying.

so you are stating that more testing would reduce the number of deaths.

So why hasn’t that worked anywhere else or are you saying more would have died in Germany, Italy, Spain, France if they hadn’t done the testing ?

    Here you go @Fordy117@Fordy117

NHS Nightingale officially opened by Prince Charles as coronavirus field hospital becomes world's largest critical care unit.

A bit of positive news

That's not clear at all, its speculative. Yesterdays government briefing stated that 92% of NHS staff are still at work and I've seen nothing whatsoever reported anywhere to suggest that people are not getting the treatment they need because of staff shortages.

More testing of frontline NHS staff would take all the uncertainty out of their situation and could allow those who think they have the virus and test negative, to be at work .

This is vital to keep as many frontline staff as possible caring for the sickest patients.

As the increase in cases is expected over the next few weeks its only common sense to conclude that more nurses and doctors per patient has to be a good thing.

Amazing mate. I know we had a little run in yesterday but never forget we are all Bantams here and want what's best for each other.

Make sure you can't the PPE equipment for your family and hopefully testing equipment as well. Well done mate, keep safe!

Well done as that’s a big commitment. I have an all-team call later today to update office staff as to how the homes are doing. Anything groundbreaking or worthy of sharing, I’ll let you know.

684 deaths in the last 24 hours according to the BBC news reader they add 3% to yesterdays total ( I believe she said) so looking at today's total it should have been more, but no time for complacency.

I wonder how much A) useable info about location habits, and B) money could be made by them, if Apple and Google prepared tracking histories for governments of those users who haven't adjusted their tracking settings on their phones . And apart from me being cynical, could the info be usable in a positive way wrt strategizing against the pandemic.

If it did then we are performing better as we are not testing and running at roughly same death rate

It might reduce deaths here if we can get the ultimate amount of nurses and doctors on duty

It might reduce deaths if NHS staff were provided with proper and effective PPE.
