it'd be quality if we had to play behind closed doors. we wouldn't have to attend. brilliant.

Indeed Ricc, they may not hear abuse from the crowd either, but they won't be able to avoid it from the touch line!

We’d still give the attendance as 14000 though

Maybe they could install a few VR cameras at Valley Parade, then we could all 'attend' without leaving home.

I 'attended' SXSW in Texas last year, all from the comfort of my own home. It's slightly weird at first, when you realise that the people 'sitting' around you are in various countries around the world, but it's a big leap forward compared to watching on television.

If all games are to be played behind closed doors, just cancel the season and sort the table alphabetically to decide promotion/relegation ffs

No possible reasons to have sports events behind closed doors.

Boris has said schools don't need to close - and with schools being the most obvious form of mass congregation, obviously crowds aren't a problem.

    Right, Boris?

It’s not Boris in this instance is all the public health experts. People will make their own decisions on what they attend

It's not, they don't want to close schools because of financial reasons.

Keeping them open is the best way to spread any virus, unless kids are immune, which they're not. They will be carriers with the mildest symptoms, ie, hardest to diagnose.

Whether it spreads or not, schools are a better chance for it spreading than football games.

They cannot cancel events after that decision.

I dunno - but I'll be interested to watch what with Ireland doing the exact opposite of us much sooner.

Some of these medical advisors have to be wrong!

Listen: I'm 65, asthma patient, dodgy blood pressure. I absolutely don't need to be in a crowd of people who are confident they are not at risk because they are young and resistant. Young people who are without symptoms pass this soddin thing onto other people.

Keep away from people, don't go to crowds.

So all the health workers who have school age children, will have to stay at home to look after them, if all schools and nurseries are closed. Mmm that will help!

So those health workers who will be able to continue to work because their kids are at school will be more likely to contract the virus as a result of schools being open (the largest, most frequent mass meeting place in many communities).

How is that going to help? Sounds much, much worse to me.

If those health workers don't contract it at work, make home less safe too?
