I think the next appointment is likely to be just re-appointing McCall a couple of days after sacking him.

 

Firstly, it isn’t a ‘normal season’ so a bizarre thing to say. The squad was Bowyer’s so you’d expect him to get more from them. Bowyer had the likes of Vaughan, Palmer, Oteh (and even Europe’s highest scorer) to select. McCall has Novak, DMH and Guthrie. Again, another reason as to why you’d expect Bowyer to outpoint McCall.

You are right that McCall has done nothing to improve our league position. But is that more to do with the teams in and around us having slightly better form than us? It still doesn’t disguise the fact that McCall has collected 2 wins and 4pts more than Bowyer managed in his last 6 games.

Yes, he was wrong. Admittedly McCall said it was a fine strike, which it was, but criticised his players for standing off and letting him hit it. He was even more annoyed as he’d warned the players all week about it.

 

Contradicted yourself. Season is done (agree), but you claimed it was good enough. Same poor midfield that gave gone missing all season. Same defenders that can’t play football are still there.

It wouldn’t matter which strikers we had in the squad. If players can’t pass 5yds to a team mate, you’re always going to be up against it. We were punching above our weight before December and got found out.

Vaughan and Donaldson spending more time in midfield didn't help.

I just believe we were not attacking enough and I still think that's the problem.

However, now our attack is worse than before.

McCall is a manager though and I won't make excuses for him but he should of been employed before the Jan window.

You have to wonder if our players are thick, if we think the first goal was dire defending have a look at the second Hunter goal he actually picks the ball up 10 yards inside the Salford half, not even Sunday morning football, that sort of effort cant be tolerated IMO, basic stuff to closer a man with the ball down.

Look at where Hunter picked the ball up for their first goal only player gesturing to get at him was Reeves.

 

But I'd suggest he's not peed off for the same reason as us fans ?.

Sorry, late in seeing and responding to this.

Rupp may be as peed off as most of us, although I doubt it, because he doesn't really give a toss about football, unlike everyone on here. The difference is that he is partially responsible for taking us from being a well-run club on the verge of the the Championship to a laughing stock in the middle of L2, and he has the wherewithal to do something about it.

It's clear that the collection of players (I won't call them a team) cobbled together by Rahic and Bowyer are mismatched and in many cases simply not good enough to get us out of the khazi league.

I'd like to know:
a) Given the obvious need for reinforcements for a serious promotion push, did Rupp deliberately throw in the towel in January because he didn't trust Bowyer to spend more of his money on more crap players?
b) If so, why didn't he sack Bowyer before the window closed to allow a new manager to bring in better players?
c) If not, why did he allow Bowyer to get rid of our two best players only days before sacking him?
d) Is Rupp prepared to spend some serious money to right the wrongs he has done, or is he still hanging on to vestiges of Edin's belief that promotion can be done on the cheap?
e) If he's not prepared to spend more money, is he prepared to sell the club at a loss to enable it to move forward.
f) If not, does he have easy access to a magic wand, or is he prepared to sit idly by and watch us disappear into non-league?

It's ok Rupp being pissed off, but the fans didn't cause this collapse in the club's fortunes. He had a big hand in it and we all want to know what he's going to do about it.
Perhaps you could send him another email and ask him what that is?

 

Rupp replies to E-Mails so there is no reason why anyone on here shouldn’t contact him and ask reasonable questions and I am sure they will get an answer if it’s done in a respectful manner
