At least you know warnock will bang a few heads together if needs be, there wont be any half hearted performances from a warnock team.

    Short odds on mccall......

Whilst it is important we get a manager to restore morale through the club - to me a lot of success is dependant on the nos 2. Some successful managers as soon as they lose their assistant appear to lose the plot.

Bowyer included - he was cut adrift without McPhillips.

I agree with all that but what happened after? He joined a struggling club, Stoke, produced a record of W5 D15 L17 & was sacked with them in the relegation places. The next guy isn't fairing that much better either.....

I hope they move for Warnock fast, he's said he'll drop to L2.

Wasn't Warnock saying he'd like to get back into football to set a record for managing in the Premier and EFL ?.

It took him a full one and a half seasons, before he had the squad that he wanted and then, yes, they were clearly the best team in L2 for years

I just don't think we as a club are that patient anymore - I think some would be unhappy with him if he came and we say, ended up, 10th this season

Doubting myself now but how would the appointment of Warnock affect ST sales? Even if we got him, he is unlikely to be here next season.

Also how come Drury isn't on the list? :eyes:

Maybe he just wasn't ready to take on the challenge of a championship club looking for promotion?

Interesting that the Warnock has the lowest odds to manager us - a stingy 7/2. He's more than 20/1 for the Cambridge job and doesn't even appear for the Scunthorpe job (are they sorted or simply so cash struck that Wilcox will get it back?)

It would be typical Rhodes who has no imagination to bring back McCall as the safe option. Big mistake.

I think it is always a hard ask coming into a team that is struggling, especially in the ultra competitive championship. Managers always seem to fare better in that league if they are coaching a team they have got promotion with themselves.

Looking at the sack race site https://www.thesackrace.com/teams/bradford-city, leaving aside Stuart and Warnock (surely too expensive with his usual entourage), then non league gamble who is attracting attention elsewhere is Ian Evatt. Only one season in charge at Barrow, but really highly rated. I watched a lot of Paul Tisdale at Exeter when I lived down there and he would be a good option. Also impressed with Paul Hurst when he was at Shrewsbury.

Not sure about Hurst. His last 2 appointments have been a bit of a car crash.

With the squad we have put me on the list, I certainly couldn't give you guys worse experience than our last two away games.
We need a clean sheet who ever comes in needs his own number 2 then Drury cant be used as an excuse.
