The effort from the players killed off the potential ‘toxic’ energy but the football needs to be a million times better to get anywhere this season than a few late challenges and chasing shadows.

 

Most people said the Colchester point was good in isolation but was made to feel worse by previous poor results.

Same applies to last night. Good point in isolation.

Problem is, two months back we were in the play offs with game(s) in hand on others. As of now we're in a similar position having played more games.

It's clear Bowyer only knows how to set up a team with someone like Donaldson in it so he better hope Clayton stays fit or he gets another similar player in this week.

 

I think if the referee had seen it he'd have made it known to the crowd, as he did with every poor decision for both sides on the night.

Not sure its embarrassing, most teams/players do exactly that when they are faced with defenders closing them down in the box.

We were on the front foot from the start and looking comfortable and looking like scoring again. They couldn’t handle the pace of Connolly they were in panic mode every time he was on the ball. The difference was Donaldson who only half fit showed how much we have missed him

Interesting you don't think he's lost the dressing room. I saw better performances than last night, under Hopkin last season and we all know he lost that dressing room. Its january, players play for themselves, let's see if they can sustain this first.

 

Speaking as someone who thought "armbandgate" was blown massively out of proportion, i was happy to see AOC given the armband when Donaldson went off, but I did think he looked a little uncomfortable taking it...must be that damn stitching

 

Last night was a marginal improvement but I’m afraid we need much more then that, nobody knows what’s gone on but we need to move forward.

Let’s be honest possession can be a rubbish stat, earlier in the season when we were having 60/65% possession we weren’t playing teams off the park. We had high possession amounts as we messed about passing it around the back 4/5 and the deeper midfielders and nothing came out of it.

Prior to the red card last night we were playing much more direct so had a lower possession amount.

I’m not Bowyers biggest fan, he needs to take 9 points from the next 3 games and a good end in the transfer window or he should go

 

Looking like scoring again? Sorry I must have missed the saves their keeper had to make. You see this is always the problem with your view, theres no balance to it. In isolation it was a good point in the circumstances. But let's no kid ourselves here, a point for them here is more valuable than a draw for us. With two games in hand on us it helps them more than us in a game where a draw was as fair a result as you'll see.

 

Okay then so your saying the moment we lose a man the go to setting is booting the ball out on the sidelines?? And not trying to play the ball down at all because that is what happened we went to 4-4-1 so that then immediately stops us from playing any form of football okay then pal you need to give your head a wobble they are pros footballers who are trained to go the 90 regardless...

 

I didn’t say it was a good result we definitely needed a win. But if you didn’t think until the sending off that we looked the more likely team you wasn’t there
