Shame they were nowhere to be seen when the stupid tw@ in the golf tried ploughing into everyone walking past the school.

 

It looked like each supporter of Newport had there own personal police officer / minder.

 

I’m guessing Newport have a reputation and history of causing trouble

 

Is this shit a regular occurrence? I swear most match days I see people mentioning similar

I was hoping somebody had a brick to hand but sadly not.

 

The police had intel that a hardcore of trouble makers were coming from Newport. Not sure if they turned up, but was a bit strange seeing all that police for a very low key league 2 game.

There was even three coppers stood near me all game at one of the entrances to the the lower kop. No idea why they were positioned there

Hardly a great team performance but three good points, it had to get better second half, what a day a long long time since I've seen a police presence like today I asked a bobby why and he said they'd been tipped off Newport were bringing trouble, went out at the bottom of Hollywell Ash Lane there must have been 10 bikes loads of police cars maria's the works and when we went to our car the police were escorting about 30/40 Newport fans down Nestfield Street a bit like the Millwall thugs they were not kids, they obviously hadn't been at the game.
Add to that Flynn and Bowyer having a face off on the touchline a good afternoon apart from that first half.

 

Police were pretty much surrounding the bradford arms as we walked down to the game. I couldn't see any trouble but masses of police so assumed it had kicked off in there.

I've been to Newport with work. It is really horrible, bradford almost looks cosmopolitan in comparison!

missed my wife by inches, absolute bell end, it really does make you worry that someone could do real damage if they were that feckin warped.

 

See it every game at VP whether it be Midland Road, Queens road, Manningham Lane. It happens just as regularly on non match days but that doesn’t have the potential consequences of 10,000+ people being on the roads around the vicinity of the area. One of the drawdacks of geographical location of VP unfortunately.
Not sure you can stop it, the epidemic of dangerous and reckless driving shows how powerless the police are to do anything.

 

There were Bradford police at the Morecambe away game in October, not that uncommon I don’t think.
