No doubt the clubs will want the match to go ahead.

Plymouth don't have the worst ground in div 2 but if it's bouncing down there for the next few days then Plymouth FC need to really make a decision on the game on Friday.

Won't the club travel down on Friday and stay over?

Either way the fans have to come 1st for once because it could be a massive waste of money for fans willing to make the trip if it's not called off on Friday and gets called off at say 12.30pm on Saturday.

Not me, we're on the 10.11 from Leeds Friday.
2 days hotel booked, back on Sunday.
If it's off I will be well pissed off, and about £500 out of pocket.

That was called off due to stadium safety due to high winds and part of a roof becoming unstable.

I can well understand your utter unhappiness if it is cancelled, but weather is unpredictable and not Plymouth’s fault.

The Colchester game being called off 10 days before it was due to be played, was predictable when you have so many internationals in your squad. Selling tickets without any form of warning, was exceptionally questionable.

Guys, the pitch will not be waterlogged regardless of the weather. We have a new pitch every few years with very good drainage, the current one was laid in the summer, in fact we'll probably have the sprinklers on before the game!
Besides, the weather forecast is for light rain on Saturday.

Hi a Plymouth fan here, just to up date you on home park pitch, it got renew in the summer it drains so well it do not need covers, no worries on the rain forecast. The game with Grimsby the other week was called off because of severe winds which caused damage to the roof at the away end. They tried to fix it but because of still strong winds they could not reach it in safety.

    Fri 22/11 Rain at times
    Sat 23/11 Occasional rain

Careful driving arrive and return safely

Plymouth will think the roof fell in at 5:50 on Saturday, they'll wish it had been postponed :joy:.

    Hi,
Here is a photo of Argyle pitch today,no sign of any water on it, the stand in front of the photo has nearly finished a rebuild, will not start to be open until next home game. your stand is on the left call the Barn Park end. At the moment down the valley the entrance to the Barn Park end of Central Park is flooded so do not park that side of the park. I will put up some photos that see the amount of rain yesterday coming off home Park down to Barn park entrance (photo taken off face book of Argyle free chat)

It seem a few of your fans are being put off on this trip, any idea of your numbers you will bring. Argyle has been travelling away in numbers. Most away game this season have been over 1000+ fans

Thank you to @Plym@Plym and @Drake@Drake for the pitch information. So, barring a load of Bubonic Plague carrying rats escaping from a ship, it seems we have game on.

PS @Plym@Plym and @Drake@Drake how's Gus Honeybun doing?

A word of caution just caught the weather forecast & up to 50mm (just a shade under 2 inches) due overnight. Falling on already saturated ground could cause problems.
