All about context. Should he have done it? in todays politically correct world of people who love to be offended, probably not. Did it make me laugh? Yes. Its a good point, there a posts i make in private groups that could be taken the wrong way by the looking to be offended mob. Funny thing is the people those posts are sent to aren't offended in the slightest even though they could choose to do so because of the content of the post. There is always offence to be found in anything if you're hell bent on finding it, i just choose not to look for it, makes life so much easier.

Yes I saw the incident. The steward was amongst other stewards ushering the group back into the stand and a youth in a cream jumper started to throw punches and then ran up a few steps and stood by a seat.

You are right though, when the penalties are 100k and upwards you need to take significant measures.
There is no way a club of our size and stature could afford those sort of penalties.

 

Didn't you do anything to get him apprehended or did you just turn a blind eye to the attack which you witnessed?
