It’s pretty simple. Every time we lose, I and others are reminded Bowyer is rubbish. He keeps picking the wrong team and tactics. We’d be better getting Parky back etc etc.

i just like to remind the doubters of what they have said when we win. And it’s happening quite often this season. Despite Bowyer getting it “wrong”.

You keep doing what you’re doing. Don’t need to worry about me. I’m firmly in the Bowyer in camp. That’s all I’m saying

Cheers!! It had to happen some time. Even a stopped watch is correct, twice per day :)

When you looked at our squad on paper last season it didn't look that bad but as you guessed we don't play on paper. Yesterday, forgetting the first half hour, was the best we've played all season yet it still took a sending off to kick us into life. Cooke is the kicker to our long term success this season, he gets injured then forget it. Thats how fragile this team is. We are still someway short of a squad strong enough to say for certain that we are promotion contenders, if we keep amongst the chasing pack till January then as i've said before that transfer window will be paramount to whether we achieve success this season because as it stands that squad is not equipped to deal with injuries in pivotal positions.

It looked bad on paper last season in the sense that it was hard to actually make a coherent team.

If you looked at players all individually then maybe it didn't look that bad - but if you tried to make a 4-4-2 out of that shower, you'd have struggled.

Yeah, the individual players on paper looked half decent, as usual people look for the 'fifa' stats, how many championship games, which clubs they've played at before etc. As you state, the problem is always putting these pieces into the jigsaw. That was my point regarding Banbrotam stating that the majority of players we have this season look good on paper. But without that central midfield kingpin, Cooke at the moment, then those names are just simply names on a piece of paper, they simply don't function as a unit.

It must be nice knowing you've still got another one to come at some point then.

However overall we tend to look at things after ten matches and with a rebuilt team I don't think there's is much to moan about

Central midfield is still a massive concern imo but while we're winning games it papers over the cracks.

Given that it's only been one window though then I think the squad overhaul has more or less been pretty successful.

    Tend to agree.
Getting shut of NKP and Chicksen was a must.
Getting shut of Akpan is now key to releasing budget elsewhere in January.

To be fair: can you name me one club in league 2 that is well equipped to deal with injuries to key players?

If we can get 7 or 9 points from the next 3 games then that will be it for any doubting. Its the up and down nature of our matches that brings the doubt into peoples minds.
Like i said, get that points tally and it will be 1 defeat in 7 with 5 or 6 wins.

Everything points towards a good start. The points tally so far. Xg data if you like to look at that. Chances created etc we are amongst the best in the league.

Yet a fair few seem adamant we are still crap and bowyer is crap.
    It’s baffling

Maybe a hang over from last season and people are panicking?
We’ve got a good manager. I think people will realise it over time
