Take Reeve's performance up to his injury, average them out and take a point (out of 10) off them and he's still better than the two in possession right now

I'll take 12 games with a fully fit Reeves right at the end of the season, rather than some other club game

This is actually great management from Bowyer. Let's imagine Reeves comes back like his old self (I agree with those who say it's unlikely) then I'm certain, assuming Bowyer's around he'll resign - which would be great as when very good he was a quality L1 player

It's also important that the rest of the squad see a player with Reeve's issues treated fairly - that then reassure's them that they can 'open up' themselves to the manager, should they ever feel even slightly stressed

Hopkin's biggest failure, was the crass treatment of players he clearly didn't understand or couldn't be bothered to

    Home sick maybe.

Why can't it be money. League 1 and 2 players don't get that much really.

The average salary in League One in 2019 is between £1,700 and £2,500, and in League Two it’s between £1,300 and £1,500 a WEEK.

How can you struggle on £1500 a week or £78,000 PA?

Why would money come into it anyway? Millionaires and Billionaires suffer from depression.

We could end up with a Gordon Watson scenario, where he’s out for a long time, gets fit then leaves to join another club after all the support he received here.

Like @Fordy117@Fordy117 says, it’s going to be months before he gets up to speed, if at all and thats after he’s even started kicking a ball.

Mate, we all want him to get better, do well etc but let's forget him for now.

    Lower your expectations of him.

Doubt we will see him anytime soon.

I think fans inquiring about him could help with his rehabilitation him knowing fans are asking about his progress.

Lower my expectation that's a classic from you, you're usually telling poster on here that their expectation are too low.

Bowyer is saying Reeves will not be rushed back, so you could be correct with your "Doubt we will see him anytime soon".

Do you honestly think that having a bit of money makes any difference to a persons mental health? This forum baffles me at times.

I get what you are saying but they usually have companies to run, staff, shareholders etc etc and the significant stress of handling that pressure causes mental health issues for sure. Whereas Reeves just has to play football.

The brain is an organ, just like any other in the body, it can develop problems just like your heart, lungs or kidneys can, how much money you have has absolutely no bearing on if you end up having asthma, think of depression the same way.

Having spent the vast part of my working life dealing with people with mental health issues I can tell you that a good % is directly attributable to money-the lack of that is-usually triggered by unemployment or unexpected long term sickness leading to debts defaulting, failing to pay the mortgage/rent leading to arrears and then in some cases homelessness.

If Reeves is in that category then I take my assumption back.

Most people don't have their full wages covered if they fall sick, I believe footballers do. Correct me if I am wrong.

I understand that from personal experience. There is always a trigger or event that starts the process.
