We've paid a larger fee for Wyke, Doyle and Mclean.

 

We know Wyke cost £250,000, but how do we know what the others cost?

Has he ever played as a proper Centre Midfielder? Assuming GB wants to play 4-4-2. Thought he played from wide or behind the striker? Bit of a luxury player imo and I wouldn't trust him to do both sides of the job.

Yeah agreed Cooke look decent. Better than what we had already in Devine and Palmer.

Palmer & Cooke could be a decent partnership but yeah I agree Cooke and Devitt could be a decent partnership as well.

My dear Fordy. There is nothing wrong with criticising players that you yourself do not personally rate, this is something that makes you such a good contributor to this forum and something I like about you, even if I don't always agree with your views.
Having said that, you really do need to improve your vocabulary when describing the ability of players you do not rate.

 

Maybe I do mate but when a player is shi&e then they're shi&e.. no point dressing it up.

Akpan is sh!te and should be nowhere near the first team or subs bench..

Doesn't mark; can't tackle his way out of a wet paper bag; gets knocked off the ball by players half his size; doesn't run; spends most of games hiding; rarely makes a telling pass. He's a liability.

We've previously seen that he has ability, but he's currently stealing a wage. He's a disgrace.

 

Akpans a disgrace of a footballer and needs shipping out ASAP. We've lost almost every game he's played in and he nearly cost us at Stevenage. Devine is also not good enough but I at least can think of positive attributes he has. Not many but they're there, unlike Akpan who can't do anything well except pick his wage up every week.

For me based on yesterdays evidence cooke and palmer should be the pairing going forwards as Devine was woeful.
