Stats since he joined are less than impressive
P 17 W4 D4 L9. Win rate 23.5%
For any number of reasons you can argue his last seasons results
I am all for giving him 10 games this season to see if he can improve his win rate
and also the performances
However 10 games is a quarter of the season and results in the remaining games need to be pretty spectacular to gain back any lost ground
The performances and inflexibility in formations are a worry

 

Well lets see how we get on, once he’s been given a fair crack of the whip I’ll agree with you should we not improve.

First you wanted Parky out for goodness knows how long. A bloke that presided over 5 years of continued progression up the leagues and numerous cup wins and a promotion.
You wanted shut of him too.
You’re simply not credible and haven’t been for years.

Who can forget on C and B, when he made a thread in January saying we were getting relegated only to reach the playoffs. Somethings never change.

 

That same message isn't working, I agree, time for change.

 

Last season has to be forgotten about as it wasn't his team and the players were massively low on confidence or didn't want to be at the club.
This season is what it's about, so far he's got 8 points from the first 5 games, if he does that over 46 games then that's around 73 points which is normally enough to get play offs so hardly time to start to panic. To put 8 points from 5 in context in 12/13 we had 7 points so marginally better.
To anyone that says he should be sacked i'd ask 1 question, who do you get in to replace him as this person will have this squad with the transfer window likely to be closed by the time they get appointed?
It shouldn't be underestimated the work Bowyer has done to turn around the form of the likes of O'Donnall and O'Connor as well as the feeling and commitment around the club from the players and fans.

 

It's not the point tally that's the concern. We've played 6 games this season and have been poor in each and every one of them. Improvement needed without a doubt but some on here don't half love an overreaction.

 

am not suggesting by any stretch GB should be sacked we need stability at the club more than anything and to disrupt the progress would be foolish However you can not pick and choose when his tenure started to make his stats look good accepting that last season some players didn't want to be here and morale was at an all time low GBs stats are as i stated
He has done well with signings etc but it's the perfomances on the pitch that count we have been poor in all our games this season and still managed to pick up points which is good but very soon other teams will learn how to play us and frustrate all our good intentions

 

Like we did with Rahic, Collins, & Hopkin?

 

Bradford City under Rahic, Collins and Hopkin warranted a strong reaction because the 3 of them left us in dire straits and everyone could see what was coming. If things start to head that way under Bowyer then I too will call for the manager's head. Surely though you can comprehend how our current situation is slightly different to the examples you've provided?

 

Every situation has to be handled on its merits, as above we’ve got off to a better start than we did last time we were promoted, and you compare him to Rahic who nearly ruined the club. He’s right you’re totally over reacting.

 

You gotta laugh on here, anyone who critices GBs wierd team selections or formations is accused of wanting him sacked!! Which is far from the truth, the way he is currently going though isn't going to end well unfortunately.
