I'm still interested to see how Shay gets along, and what formation we play with him in the team.

But I agree, we need a well rounded forward as back up, because any injury disrupts more than just the selection of the first xi.

 

I'd take the kid from Leeds if he is available. Looks like Danny Rose is a no go now. After that I am struggling to think who we were linked with.

 

Shay won't be in the team much(hopefully) so you will be left wondering in the corner on your own.

 

So he might be in the team? You're just hoping he won't be?

Think you'll be disappointed Fordy as GB rates him and will play him.

Vaughan and Donaldson will not play every game. Vaughan will miss games through suspension and Donaldson is too old to play every game. Shay will definitely get games

 

and that opinion is based on seeing him half a dozen times, when he wasn't fit and playing out of position!!

 

Blackpool fans on their forum are saying they are after to Keshi Anderson, winger/attacking mid from Swindon and a CB from Sheff Utd they had last season. They don't sound too confident of the deal, but I'd imagine if the lad from Swindon goes, that will free up Devitt.

 

Or Devitt will go to Swindon as part of the deal

 

If you or Bowyer think his best position is as a forward then that's a worry.

His best position is AM and he isn't that good.

Take what Bowyer says sometimes with a pinch of salt. Bowyer says positive things about him then he isn't in the squad the next game and we sign another AM.

Wouldn't be shocked to see him leave. We do need a few to leave also.

 

I can't see why we would bring Devitt in now we've got Cooke. I hope it was a case of Bowyer wanting an attacking mid and having a couple in mind and Cooke was the deal that he was able to get over the line first. Hopefully the focus has now moved on to the other areas we need to strengthen.

Was creaming over Doyle and playing him only to get rid to Swindon.
You can't slag off a player you want to get shut of. You've got to big him up.

Cannot see that. Devitt turned down Swindon before he signed for Blackpool, citing location reasons.

 

I am hoping we are still after Devitt. If Bowyer wants to a play 3 in midfield - Palmer - Devitt - Cooke, looks pretty good to me

 

He wont leave the north. Lives in Manchester, doesn't want to relocate. He already turned them and Plymouth down in the summer.

 

That would be a good midfield to play against those who sit deep and come to VP for a point, but against the better teams we need a ball winner in there.

Unlikely to be done before tomorrows game, but you never know I suppose. Fingers crossed it is, it would be a big boost two new players.
