    Similar was being said of our present manager, without doubt his first two team selections and formations weren't good on the eye but as manager he possibly knows more about the players, their fitness situation, and how best to not get beat.
    Yes Cambridge and Grimsby were hardly flowing football but we got points from both, 1 goal conceded ( a deflection I believe) and still unbeaten.

    Very true. I think new younger managers get caught in the trap of trying to play new modern attractive football but if you look at the top sides they do this from a strong solid base. Liverpool had the best defence last season

    I was hardly impressed @Damo@Damo after the first 2 games but when you try and look at it from Bowyers eyes and obvious his knowledge of his available squad you have to give him a bit of credit.
    Scannell far from where we'd like him to be fitness wise, many others struggling early season and still areas to cover hopefully with either perminant signings or loans, carry on Gary Bowyer.

    Failed to get the 3 wins.

    Today Bowyer messed up. Poor tactics and formation. What was he doing.

    @Park bantam@Park bantam might be scared of teams in this league but I don't expect our manager to be.

    I think that's true, he was too worried about forest green and wasn't concentrated on playing to our strengths.

    For once I agree with you I said when I saw the team and Akpan plus the formation we would struggle, why change a winning team!
    Having said that the ref was total rubbish.

    We can as should have had the penalty when Gibson was fouled in the first half and then it might have made the other team play some footy.
    The ref can also book players for time wasting- he chose not to.
    13 mins extra time and no serious injury- wtf ref?
