    He was excellent for Carlisle last season their fans liked him a lot. Not sure he would be keen on coming ack here after the stick he took last time

    Why underwhelmed. He got nominated for a few player of the month awards and we can see a place for him in the team? My concern would be why Blackpool want shot of him?

    Just posted this on the Oldham thread, but this particular stat from last Wyscout report highlights the need for a central attacking midfielder.

    In terms of attack by flank. Left flank there were 10 attacks but presented 60% danger level. Right blank 18 attacks but 23% danger level. 7 attacks through central midfield with a 17% danger level.... which says it all really.​

    How would you accommodate him in the current set up?

    One suggestion is playing him out of position on the left or playing with a 5 man midfield which would mean dropping Vaughan or Donaldson. Possible alternatives yes but far from ideal.

    What do you have in mind?

    Play him centre mid with Palmer ,and have Palmer play defensive mid and Devitt pushing forward.

    He wasn’t a Grayson signing so probably wants him off the books so he can bring in his own player.

    Presume he was signed before Grayson was appointed manager at Blackpool?. Guess he is not his type of player. Noticed a couple of other clubs linked with him last week, Swindon one of them, if I remember correctly

    Play him where Devine played on Saturday or maybe in the number 10 role If we revert to a diamond. Not really been impressed with Palmed but we are stuck with him now

    I believe Devitt scored 12 goals last season in league 2. Just what we need from a midfield player chipping in. Still need a ballwinner in there though

    Not at all of course people such as yourself need a scapegoat. The fact is he started very poorly but as he got fitter he improved and deserved his contract. This season so far he has been poor granted
