Well, Scannell and his CV is no match for any other winger in the league. I can only presume your knowledge of L2 players/football isn’t quite as strong as mine.

I just dislike the way in which fans judge players. They look solely at what they have done for the club and suggest they’re good/poor based on what they see in a City shirt. It’s just incredibly short-sighted. The same players will leave and play a blinder with another a club.

Fickle - I think that’s what you call it.

From the first few games it seems we're short of cover up front, wide and centrally.

Perhaps Bowyer is hoping Patrick will be a wide cover option - he's poor.

Is McCarten a forward cover option - not sure?

Midfield is where we look thinnest.

 

A CV?! Ha -you still believe in them? My CV could quote all sorts of stuff I've done in the past, but twenty years later I've progressed from Powerpoint and Microsoft Excel. It's all about what you bring to the table here and now. A good CV gets you an interview, a good consistent performance gets you a promotion.

Thankfully, he put in a semi decent performance today. No way near a Championship performance, but an improvement for sure.

The opposite of "fickle" is "constant" - lets hope Scannell puts in a few more of these performances, and then lets discuss if he's the best winger in League two after ten more games.

I was also told about Buckley coming in next week by somebody I trust, he also said the younger Longstaff at Newcastle has been Bowyers target all summer. Bowyer is well thought of by Newcastle and the Longstaff family but it's all down to Steve Bruce and what he wants to do.
