    Good news, dreadful whilst he’s been here, however wish he’d had a couple of games alongside a target man just remove any slight doubt in my mind and thus confirming he was shxt in any position

    I know the thread is about Doyle leaving but he was far from being alone in how poorly he played in both the Cambridge & Grimsby games. Bowyer persisted playing him where he did, yet the vast majority of fans were disapointed with his inclusion there knowing that was a position he'd failed in the previous week, most said it would be two out of the three pairing with Scannell wide, we can only assume Scannel could not do 90 minutes hence Doyle gets played in that formation

    He also hit the post and had another effort tipped around the post. All three attempts came from crosses. Funny that eh. If only we’d known to put crosses into the box and not play him as a targetman

    Doyle scoring would be more important if he had a chance of getting in ahead of Vaughan or Donaldson, but as it is, money well saved.
