I wouldn't have offered a contract to Anderson, Devine and Colville for the exact same reasons I'm giving you above- we've got more Improtant first team matters to attend to.

He certainly can’t. He’s still got an advertising hoarding in his mam and dads back garden from the last game at Burnden Park after he’d been on the pitch. It’s more precious to him than his wife and 2 daughters

 

Where have I even tried to hold you responsible? That’s just a silly thing to write. But the fact remains, you’re having a go at me for saying we need to replace the striker just leaving, but supporting the manger who wants to fill his squad with bench warmers and reserve players.

Or do your comments such as “This looks like yet another example of you wanting to strengthen our bench as opposed to the starting 11” and also “If you were in charge of recruitment we'd have the worst starting 11 in the league but a lethal reserve team” only apply to me? Would you say the same to Bowyer if you saw him??

Everyone keeps banging on about the devine contract but arent we obliged to keep one home grown player in the squad? Thats what i heard anyway, if its true then who would be a better replacement? if no one then can we stop whinging about it?

 

We had a home-grown keeper that would have been perfect. Allows us to name 6 outfield players and none have to be picked “just because”. However, we decided to reward a shite player with another contract just to get around this rule and allowed the youth keeper to leave on loan

This will not be a well liked comment but Doyle going doesn't bode well for other departures.

If there was a chance of Riley (injured now I know), Akpan, etc etc going then I don't think Doyle would have gone.

Clearly we need outgoings to fund incoming and that's why he's gone.
