If Doyle goes, it frees up at least 4K a week plus probably a small transfer fee. So that would get us 2 good quality league 2 players

well yeah it probably is, I'm not prioritising the bench but until we sign someone else half decent he's gotta stay, for me.

there's no guarentee that GB even wants another midfielder that everyone is advocating we can sign if and when Doyle leaves.

You raise a good point there Ricc. We are all assuming Bowyer will bring in another Midfield player. Maybe he is already happy with his options, afterall, he did offer new contracts to Devine, Anderson and Colville, as Colville signed yet by the way!

They’ve said that ‘you’ll like it’ - can’t be Doyle then. Who’d be happy with a second rate, past it, shower of shit? Let me be the first to say ‘feck off Doyle and I hope your career continues down the shitter’

Also. Nice one from Swindon this. Sponsorship given to DarbyRimmerMND on their 3rd Kit. Hopefully part one of two acts of charity announced today.

    Stephen Darby says:

“I can’t thank everyone associated with Swindon Town enough for their support of the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation. To have the Foundation logo on the third kit is fantastic in helping us raise awareness of the charity and are objectives to support sufferers of Motor Neurone Disease, research the illness and work towards our main goal of finding a cure for the disease. The support from Swindon Town will allow us to grow the Foundation and keep pushing forward in our fight against MND”.

    Lee Power, Club Chairman, said:

"I'd like to thank Imagine Cruising for allowing this very important charity to go on the front of the third kit. Bradford City is a club very close to my heart and were very supportive of me during my time there as a player and their support of Stephen has been exceptional. I felt that it would be wrong of our club not to take up the opportunity to help such a worthy cause too."

The third kit will not go on sale, but all match-worn shirts will be auctioned off at the end of the season.

So, we will once again be reaching out to our supporters, sponsors and business partners for their generosity when making bids for the shirts, with all proceeds going to the Darby-Rimmer Foundation.

Nothing to do with him being played out of position/not to his strengths since he arrived then, no?

Probably more that he's just not very good.

Do players actually exist who are wonderful at one exact thing but absolutely totally useless at the vast majority of the game?

Even goalkeepers are better on the ball.

Why don’t we stop making excuses and acknowledge that he’s just not very good and unfortunately we bought him in when his career was on a downward spiral.

It’s a well known fact that when he’s partnered with target man, he scores goals in L1/L2. The only big striker he’s played alongside was the German lump. Apart from that, he’s had no support from wings by playing too narrow last season, played up front on his own or at the tip of a diamond.

    No wonder he’s fed up.

    OK. If you say so.

Just completely disregard his goal scoring record at your peril. If he goes elsewhere, he’ll bang em in. Mark my words.
